I watched it for a bit but was bored after ten episodes or so.

yeah, season 1 was often a bit slow and out of focus, took a bit too long to introduce characters and plots/subplots, but the last few episodes left a lot of interesting develpoments hanging...and the first 3 episodes of season 2 are definitely fun and , ermm, "lively".

I have not been impressed thus far. It's no Buffy.

Yes, it's no buffy, it's definitely less fun, but I still think it's interesting, and with a good potential to become even more interesting..

I'm torrenting the entire 1st season solely because it has Anna Paquin.

I did not clue into the fact that Sookie is the chick from Fly Away Home and X Men!

That seriously fucks with my head.

What's even worse is that in the movie The Squid and The Whale, she and Jeff Daniels are lovers and he played her father in Fly Away Home.

Jeff Daniels doesn't look like Jeff Daniels in Fly Away Home either. I think it's the beard. Either that or I'm just right fucked in the head and can't recognize anyone.

I wish my dad was the way he is in Fly Away Home. Lets me keep geese, has a bad ass glider thing, and invents random shit.

I think he's my fav (in a non homosexual way) too.
"Is there blood in my hair?" ha ha I loved that scene.
Sookie is a bit annoying, yes, but some of her lines (like "I always loved theese, they're like boooooze for doooolls.....they gave me ten!") are priceless...Another fav of mine: Lafayette.
And Jessica for obvious reasons.


Overall I'm really happy about the "pace" of this new season , s1 was a bit too slow, even if you could "see" there were many interesting thing that could come out of the series after all the characters had been introduced and the first story arc ended.

The girl ad I watched the first season in two days. We loved it.

I've watched the 1st 8 episodes in two days and I'm hooked, too bad I have to take today and most of tomorrow off.

Aaaand, the scene where he "talks like a normal person" to the guys guarding the church door is amazing.
And the dialogue with sookie right before that cracks me up.
His sense of fashion is a bit hit and miss (come on, a fuckin' black tank top at the "welcome home" party of your maker??), but he's amazing.
