I don't listen to "classic" rock. Remember, I'm born in 1983. It doesn't mean I think all the music before the Youth was shit, but it doesn't blow my mind as much as Sonic Youth or related bands do. Okay. I just find it weird, considering so many of my kids friends were/are into "dinosaur" bands as well as new stuff. My daughter and son love the Beatles and the Stones and Dylan, Zep, Hendrix, etc., but are also into all kinds of new stuff I've never heard of.

if the Yoof had never existed, my son would certainly not be called Thurston Lee.
