i guess dubstep is getting more popular, i havent been to a good dance club or whatever in awhile. but when i went to Colette (the main hipster store in paris) they had a dubstep compilation on sale which i found kind of strange, dont know why. they also had women by women which i found random. dont know much dubstep though other then burial. dont listen to much dancehall and grime either. london zoo was a good though, it's definetly been one of the most impressive albums of the year

i guess i just have no general idea of what a dj will be playing when i walk into a club anymore

thanks for the links demonrail666 and Decayed Rhapsody

Last year's Simian Mobile Disco was really good. I'm still listening to it often.
Latest Clark album is pretty dancable if you ask me. Especially that track "Volcan Veins", makes me want to blast the dancefloor

I like the new Clark too. enough to buy the vinyl

I like Joker's stuff, although I think his cheesy synth lines can get a bit much after a while. Definitely an original though. Here's another one that's pretty similar but still good:

Holly Brook Park

Geeneus is another great producer I think.

Ninja Tune put out a three disc set a couple months ago called You Don't Know that had some pretty decent electronic dance stuff on it. I'm hardly following the genre, but I'd imagine there's plenty coming out for those that head to the dancefloors regularly.

a lot of my friends are making dubstep and its pretty decent

i enjoy dub step but only in moderation i tend to find a good amount of it sounds similar

when i can get a few of their tracks i will post them up for thoughts

i wonder if the band dance floor justice released anything in 2008. i doubt it.

man am i on a straight edge band kick or what.

SYRFox 11.23.2008 04:53 AM

Yeah Mr. Oizo's Positif is sick. "Vous êtes des animaux. Vous allez tous crever."

batreleaser 11.23.2008 01:39 PM

I've actually been listening to "The Lambsbread" which is the Dubstep artist that the band Lambsbread is named after, good stuff.
