Glad you're OK. But just curious. Did you have a stop sign too and not stop? I can't tell you how many bicylclists I've almost hit because they've ignored the traffic postings like stop signs. Almost hit a guy today because he was coming down the wrong way into my lane!

My sister ran over a guy on a bike once. He was Ok, just startled.

The road outside my town's college is treated by most drivers as a race track, who are wont to ignore red lights. Recently two students required hospital treatment after they were hit by speeding drivers brazenly ignoring the red light. I've personally witnessed on several occasions drivers jumping the red light on that road. The irony of all this is the local police station is on the same road!

There's a backroad behind my house that's deserted in the middle of the night and I sometimes hear racers going up and down there. I think some people have died on that road actually.

I got hit by a bicyclist once in New York my fault I stepped off the curb. what about the pedestrians that never look just walk right out into the road? While the majority of the time it's a driver who thinks it his road and you're lucky he lets you use it that's at fault, there are times they are not.
