i listened to to some of these bands on youtube, it all sounds a bit earnest or self-righteous, will haven is still the only one i like so far, will try more though.

his hero is gone was great. assuck wasn't half bad, but i think thats' because they're from tampa.

i think most of the bands that are mentioned are bands if you didn't like at a certain time you may not like now. i know if i didn't grow up listening to or seeing the bands i mentioned than i probably wouldn't bother trying to listen to them. that's just me though.

yeah, i can see that, i'm always on the look out for ultra heavy rock n' roll bands though

i remember seeing his hero is gone in tampa and they were sick! they only played for about 15 minutes or so. there are a few live sets of them on youtube.

i remember when they were called lutikriss and sounded like a shitty christian version of the deftones. then i guess they changed their name and heard coalesce for the first time.

i'm not from tampa no, more south. used to go to shows at 403 Chaos there. i live in texas now.
