No.

There is nothing genius about brainless Yorkshire indie-by-numbers NME twatrock.

You've been indoctrinated Danny; just because NME happen to favor them doesn't make them bad... Think for yourself, cause you don't sound like you do.

no offense, of course

the thrills...why oh why allow anyone the displeasure of listening to these south dublin pseudo poshkids, terrible band but they are so cool in their smoking jackets frowns and long fringes and they make music that my father listens to but they are young so it must be hip to like them because my radio station says so but no they are not very good at all and we were all duped into thinking they would be irelands answer to everything and we would host the next world cup because of the thrills success on the world stage and why do we still buy yhtie albums oh wait, they have done nothing for ages and wait they have been dropped from their label, why i hear you say, BECAUSE THEY WERE ALWAYS AND ALWAYS WILL BE SHITE WITH ACAPITAL ALT COUNTRY TURD!

wouldnt have put on kaiser cheifs- mclusky instead
nada surf- old flaming lips instead
sufjan stevens- jeffrey lewis instead
burial- id give my friend the clap instead.... dont get burial, its seems to be the craig david its ok to admit to liking...

wu tanbg clan.. i wouldnt have put it on but im not hip to the jive with my homies in the hood of my oversized jacket bling etc beeaaatcchh...

as a rating for your tape, like you asked i would give it a rating of a glass of cocacola almost even a raspberry mr freezze.... in other words....yes!!!!! (thats pretty good).....

Nor was I. I don't care about NME's opinion, if I like a song and deem it worthy to be on a mixtape I make, so what if NME likes the band...

PAULYBEE2656 02.21.2009 10:22 AM

oh ok, i get yr point.. in that case i say yes.. free thinking flotsam to you all!!!
sorry mate, i just cant read properly!

i still blame menswear tho!

None taken, but all you have to do is look at the front cover of NME and know it knows nothing about what constitutes as music as it peddles a bunch of clueless indie twats to the masses.

Note the acknowledgement of Black Flag, 'the band that changed punk', 20 years too late. Also the 'how to get tickets' feature- if you don't know how to get tickets to a show then perhaps you're not made out to exist in society. And then of course, the painful lists of terrible bands.. The View, The Enemy, Towers Of London, Paul Weller, The Horrors, PJ Harvey.. I rest my case.

It is but anything off the first 2 EPs and Fever To Tell is still leagues better.

joe11121 02.21.2009 07:21 PM

From the songs I've listened to on your tape there, it sounds very good.

and i hadn't noticed the Thrills on there. wow.

and leave PJ Harvey alone, she's fucking amazing

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 02.22.2009 03:01 PM

It's got a lot of great stuff but it doesn't look like it would flow from track to track very well.
