well that is most definitely true, but I think places like the Midwest, the Northeast and the dirty South have similar demographics, where "non-whites" make up the majority of what the census bureou labels "working class"

the South's population is 50% black
the Midwest is becoming increasingly hispanic (chicago has the second highest mexican population in the US)
and and Northeast is a longstanding domain for immigrant groups and "minorities"

It's the wet-liberal dream - create a straw man argument to be eternally opposed to, never query one's own values because 'at least I'm not some redneck racist'.
