I keep seeing Caroliner at my local record store....wonder if its worth picking up?

What's a good Caroliner album to start with? I've been interested in them for a while.

Caroliner is easily the best band of all time. Maybe not my favorite. But definitely the best.

Black Dice are awesome.. but goofy.

black dice i goofy, they have a sense of humour. i really dont consider them noise, certainly not now and not really ever. their early stuff was just dissonant hardcore that wasnt gay enough to fall under the screamo tag. beaches and canyons isnt noise at all! its like pretty electronic music! when people say thier noise it pisses me the fuck off, it probably pisses black dice off too. they do get rather loud in thier live shows though.

Actually, I find this album REALLY good.

That's funny actually because I used to always think that Black Dice were the first noise music I was exposed to. I heard them in the middle of the night on MTV2 and thought "what the fuck is this shit? it's nothing but noisy sounds!" But I guess I do see that they aren't proper noise nowadays.

Whether noise or not, this record is damn catchy. The blast off at the end of Earning Plus Interests gets me everytime.

i kind of enjoy the random, non-participatory sound that black dice's machines end up making. creature comforts is good drunk boning in the bathtub music.
