They haven't been friends for quite some time, unless they've made up after all the public drama a few years back.... |
Death in June actually caused me to give C93 another listen after initially hating them, and now I've never been so obsessed with a band since my Fall obsession started two years ago. "But, What Ends When the Symbols Shatter?" is certainly one of the finest neo-folk albums ever.

i just listened to some DiJ, it's a bit cheesey.

^^^ good point.
beware of anyone who has bat-shaped eyelashes and has had their canine teeth replaced with molars. there will be no pin-prick bite marks after this lady is done, as she fully intends to grind you up like salad. |
I am pretty sure she only eats brains.

That book England's Hidden Reverse is finally re-issued next month. I missed out last time and orig. copies go for £100+. It covers most of the bands mentioned here so I thought I'd mention it. (Not that i don't suspect most of you already have a copy)

I haven't actually heard a song by any of these bands.
Actually, I might have heard a Death in June song recently. And I might have disliked it. |
Thanks demonrail! I had actually never heard of the Hidden Reverse book. I'm not so good at reading up on music (apart from liner notes and band sites).
New edition is up for pre-order http://www.amazon.com/Englands-Hidde...ef=pd_sim_m_24 |
