This is a good list of mostly danceable music. ASP's list was mostly undanceable music, just FYI.

Again, yes!

Happy Hardcore is officially the best form of music, and there's a great radio station for it here

static-harmony 05.03.2009 04:32 AM

Here is some that you may or may not like:
Mr. Oizo
Crookers
Shinichi Osawa
Benny Benassi
Boys Noize
Deadmau5
Dmitry Fyodorov
Soulwax
Wolfgang Gartner
Dj Irene
Darren Styles
The Bloody Beetroots

Mr. Oizo and Boys Noize are really good.
If the OP is looking for really dancy stuff, I highly suggest the Simian Mobile Disco album that was released two years ago. Hype stuff, but really good.

The OP should also check the last Clark album, Turning Dragon, it's fantastic, and dancy techno stuff.

Oh, and The Knife's "Silent Shout", too.

SYRFox 05.03.2009 05:00 AM

All the atsonicpark's list artists are indeed fantastic; they're not that dancy though, so I'm not sure that was what the OP was looking for - well except for Mouse On Mars :p

SYRFox 05.03.2009 05:01 AM

You should also check some minimal techno, there's so many great things in there.

Hihgly recommanded:

Pantha Du Prince (get This Bliss)
Efdemin
Lawrence (the album The Absence Of Blight is really good)

Or more recently:
Extrawelt (the production on their album is impressive)
Minilogue

Oh and, not really electronic, not really dancy, but totally groovy, you should check Rubin Steiner, a french artist. His two first albums are really good nu-jazz, but his third, Drum Major!, should interest you a bit more, like electronic/turntablism/ultra groovy stuff. You'd like it I think

SYRFox 05.03.2009 05:12 AM

(sorry for all those consecutive messages :D)

If you want some cheaper stuff, check also the Truckasauras album, which was released last year. It's chiptune, which means it's done with sounds from Gameboys, Commodore 64 and such. It could appear as something for nostalgic retrogamers, but it's not; this album is really really good.

If you enjoy cheaper sounds, you should also check some skweee, a Scandinavian genre. It's a bit experimental and disconstructed, but grooves as well. The comps "Museum Of Future Sound" are a good start point.

Also I offer a variety of electronic sounds as Mesh Gear Fox. Check out my sig for details. :D

They're good live, but thier 'oi oi oi' album sucks, same with Justice too. To be honest, you're best sticking with the ones who you can guarantee to be good.

Soulwax
2many djs
Simian Mobile Disco
Benga

Are the main ones to listen to.

If you're gonna listen to just one track then Poison Dart by Bug. That song will DESTROY YOU

EDIT:Oh and Vitalic

SYRFox 05.03.2009 05:57 AM

Hmm I enjoy "Oi Oi Oi" actually. I don't listen to it often but "Oh!" and "& Down" are really killer tunes. Probably my favorite album of that whole "ultra EQ'd compression dancefloor techno" - far better than Justice, who I find incredibly overrated

PAULYBEE2656 05.03.2009 05:59 AM
