I thought they were hellaciously enjoyable, but you didn't ask me, so I'll
hush now. |
Hey Jenn - how would you describe Yellow Teats or whatever they're called I dunno?
|
My first thought of them is...like Wolf Eyes (busting out the sheet metal and chains, even) but younger, and the testosterone stink is ratcheted up several hundred notches. That said, their enthusiasm was contagious. When all three dudes removed their shirts near the end, it seemed ritualistic. It was good to see passion from the stage, especially after that rather rote first night.

There's a British band, Sunshine Republic, who I doubt have made it overseas yet. They're awesome, and they take the testosterone of noise and turn into the most homoerotic thing (as opposed to mastubatory fantasies). Their records are pretty good, but their live show is AMAZING. They're not particularly noise, I should add, but they do make a brilliant racket. I'm sure one of the London-based boardies must've seen them at some point? |
I've heard Sunshine Republic before on their myspace before and I like them. Thanks Jenn, much appreciated.

You must go and see them when they play London. They're very good indeed.
|
I will try. I'm trying to remember where I've seen their name first. I think, not sure though, it was mentioned on the Colour Ride records website.

Yellow Tears are surprisingly good for a bunch of Long Island dudes.
