Am I the only person that thinks that the Machinas are good albums? I'm in full agreement that Billy is a cunt and should be kept in a box and only allowed to make music sometimes, not speak, not give interviews, not tour. |

i'll half agree to that. machina II was amazing, way better than machina I. some of the machina II songs are the best the pumpkins ever recorded. too bad they got the short end of the stick. compared to machina II, machina I sounds bloated and boring. |
Adore had its moments.
But frankly, the best thing Billy Corgan could do isn't die; it's come out and admit that James Iha, D'Arcy, and Jimmy Chamberlin weren't just his fucking backing band. |

Yes. He gives all them a raw deal and none of the Pumpkins stuff would have listenable without them. |
Smashing Pumpkins' oeuvre is so insignificant as to be invisible. Mr Corgan can take his ego and crappy songs and shove it.

Word. Without James we wouldn't have Mayonaise or Soma. |

I agree. Machina II was really good. And Machina I had some great songs, but some bad ones as well. |
The Machinas are decent. Adore is their best and one of the greatest albums of the 90's (even without Chamberlin), as I constantly say.

Smashing Pumpkins has one or two good songs. Out of literally a thousand songs... I mean, you're probably going to get it right once in a while if you have that many songs.
I just can't believe there's still any fascination/interest in this band, long after the sexy-as-hell D'Arcy left. |
