Yeah, that's all true and that's absurd. But I hardly would say "one step closer to a police state". Government don't care if you have some porn magazine in yr possession or not, they just thought this law would make them look like sort of "real Christians" in eyes of people.. This is just pure nonsense.
Would there be real consequences behind this law? Sure, but only in a way of small police corruption/bribing.. (like: "What do you got here?", - "Oh, it's erotic picture", - "Looks like pornography to me", - "No it not!", - "So now you would argue with me? Wanna go to police station to figure out is that pornography or not and what we gonna do next?", - "No, sir, I'd rather deal with it right now", - "Okay, that would be $5")

So, bottom line: I'm - as Ukrainian - embarrassed and humiliated by my own government. Unfortunately, not the first time..
