Familiar w/ Maclise, i have several of the cds that have been released and a somewhat rare LP...

Do you know where and when this mp3 you speak of is from?

I know Tony... i've recorded some of his performances here in Buffalo...

I just ordered Keiji Haino & Yoshida Tatsuya- New Rap, The sample clips sounded awsome, I can't wait to get it!

acousticrock87 06.23.2006 04:31 PM

That CD does sound awesome. I love the drums. That's next on my list of CDs to buy.

Toilet & Bowels 06.25.2006 04:39 PM

the archive label has a recording of a 7 hour long fushitsusha gig but for some reason they haven't or aren't going to put it out

I'm pretty sure it comes from this album:
Brain Damage in Oklahoma City is the second installment in the Siltbreeze/Quakebasket series of music by Angus MacLise. Culled from the archives of Mr. Tony Conrad, this volume (covering the years 1967-'70) highlights MacLise's unique and intricate drumming style. Cembalum, bongos, hand drum, barrel congas -- all are majestically thumped'n'bumped for maximum orgasmic sensory satisfaction.

I think this thread should be continued, now that I'm more familiar with Fushitsusha. Been listening to them non-stop today, thanks to some recommendations by drrrtyboots. Does he tour here often?

he almost never goes on tour. sometimes he plays a few shows outside japan a year, but that's about it.

Haino is finally coming to Minneapolis in October to do some live soundtrack action!
I am extremely excited.

Cantankerous 07.18.2006 09:12 AM

i like him. i'm not too far from minneapolis either.

Savage Clone 07.18.2006 09:23 AM

I just found out about that gig.
I had heard rumblings, but nothing definite.
First time ever, and it's been a long time coming!
