I agree with you. This is the bullshit politics game though; if he had said the right thing ala "we have to respect a foreign jurisdictions legal process and stay out of it - so I'm not going to comment", the conservative talk show hosts would have gone to town on him. That is not a justification for what he's doing, it's bullshit, but it's the sphere they all exist in |

Is this by accident or design? I mean the relative lack of straight reporting on the subject in the US media |
^^^It's due to the likes of "Private Eye" having their eye on the ball since the original case started, and constantly making us here aware that the whole thing was a set-up from the start, which then the other media later on (finally) picked up on. But even so, I get the impression that the UK victims' famiies were never happy with the official line of events at all, and fair play to them pursuing their own fight for real justice in this.

Libya didn't do it, just a convenient excuse because the US had this hilarious pseudo-fight going on with them in the '80s.
Iran did it, see they didn't much care for the US Navy shooting down Iran Air 655 and killing 290 civilians six months earlier. |
I think the welcome he got back to Libya was pretty tasteless though

Bolt Thrower are fucking brilliant
|
^^^ I've always been afraid to listen. :(
let the poor dying bastard go home to his family. he's going to have less quality of life with end-stage cancer than anything prison could do to him. if I can forgive him for my lost White Dwarf, so can the rest of America. Time Magazine ran an article on Muammar Qaddafi a few years back, he sounds like a very intelligent man that's genuinely looking out for his people. beyond this man's true guilt or ignorance, Libya really got the shaft. state-sponsored terrorism my ass. who gave Timothy McVeigh his army training? |

...Well,what if it were one of you who had lost a family member or friend in this horrific disaster?
If it was me, I'd say, fuck him, die in jail. |

Read thread dealy British families who had relatives on the flight, have largely supported repatriating this guy. US families on the other hand have wanted him to rot in scottish prison. |

that might be the nicest thing anyone's ever said about me. :(.. arrrtsy, I hope you didn't think I was talking to you when I said "amerikkka can shut up". I just spent an hour and a half in the dentist's chair (with 30 of that explaining to the hygienist the error of her ways). if vengeance is what yr seeking, packing him off to Libya defeats any further "punishment" in a Scottish prison. |
