she should watch out, once the Wheel gets her there is no turning back, I haven't talked to a single person that didn't have a life-altering experience with Salvia, daturas are extremely potent plants, there is a reason why they are not as popular as other psychedelics even though they are readily available, as they are not exactly recreational by any sense of the word.

Salvia's a sage, not a datura. But, yeah, I still replay some Salvia experiences every day in my head. That video is obnoxious. Fucking kids thinking smoking Salvia is for funsies or something.

my mistake. Salvia is actually worse than a datura, though equally strong and not for popular consumption. Datura are more long term in their duration (weeks?), however Salvia seems to have a wider array or impacting experiences, despite their ridiculously short duration (seconds, minutes?)

Yeah. Datura can last from days to weeks, and synthetic scopolamine analogues used in government tests had effects surpassing a week's time. It's far more subtle, if used correctly, but is more closely related to dramamine and benadryl than any psychedelics.

Salvia is fucked. I mean, really fucked. The Diviner's Sage, as it's known, has some value and was originally consumed by chewing/sublingual administration, giving the plant a longer lasting but far less strong effect. Smoking it out of a bong w/ a torch is a modern way of administration. Salvia's crack, if you will. The worst part about it is it's just used as a toy or a 'high'. The effects are widely considered unpleasant but it is a way to delve deep into your mind and the world around you. I've had many overwhelming experiences with it, none of which were anywhere close to being fun.

It's not for the novice psychonaut, that's for sure.

Salvia is not worse than datura. The experiences are two completely different states of mind, and it's very dependent on the salvia extract and ingestion method for both (datura can be administered in many different ways). My salvia experiences have been 10fold more enjoyable and entheogenic than my datura experience, though I used 5x salvia.

The main criticisms to salvia arise because of young people assuming salvia will be like a marijuana high, and going out and getting 40x or some extremely high extract, and getting absolutely terrified.

Though salvia is certainly a 'weird' high compared to the way other psychoactives operate. I wish more awareness would spread about it not being so 'recreational' as people think when taking higher extracts / doses.
