But I agree that Boredoms have nearly matched them in greatness, even if they're slightly derivative. I don't like 50% of Boredoms's work, but I appreciate it fully.

Yoshimi actually accompanied Phish on their 2 japanese tours (not to play, just to hang out with the band). They are friends (while probably not as tight as SY/The Boredoms.

I've disliked more Sonic Youth than I have liked. No matter how much I love early Youth 90s-now kind of ruined it for me. Plenty of better bands.
