Educate me.

because they serve no purpose. the schools lower their passing grades so that more people can pass (duh), which will make them look good in the eyes of our government, which is pretty fucking ass backwards if you ask me. that way we end up with a bunch of fucking morons who managed to make it through law school or med school or whatever, you know? and do we really want idiot lawyers or doctors? i think you can answer that question yourself.

That's true. But with the extreme laziness and apathy found in schools, without tests students wouldn't learn anything. The only time they try is when a test is coming up. Less motivation, you see.
The standards on tests should be raised, but I guess that's what you hinting at. Since they won't be raised, they should be eliminated.

If school were taught in a more interesting or engaging way, motivation and apathy would be non-issues.

Cantankerous 09.18.2006 03:52 PM

yeah but you know that will never happen.

i'm just so glad i'm out/

nomadicfollower 09.18.2006 03:56 PM

Your right.

I've thought about getting out. Two more exams and I'm eligible to graduate, but I'll still be forced through two more years. It sucks.
Catank, did you get your GED and drop out?

Cantankerous 09.18.2006 03:56 PM

yes.

nomadicfollower 09.18.2006 03:57 PM

That's what I should do.

i actually would not advise it, because although a GED is supposed to be honored the same as a high school diploma, it isn't.

I'm not quite getting your drift, !@#$%!.
Perhaps if you had some kind of visual aid to add context or inflection to your musings...

She is right on that, GED isn't well looked upon, that is why I got my High School DIploma after my GED.

Savage Clone 09.18.2006 04:04 PM

Lame.
Why the long face, lady?
The guy was a masochist who wanted to die.
You should be happy.

That's shit.
But, if I were to drop out, they'd suspend my lisence. You can't properly drop out until 18.
