Damn... why don't we do this in the Uk... Sonicl is totally correct... all that I ever come across are pushy arrogant kids after a sugar fix or monetary gain...

Where is the romance, imagination and invention?

Do you know "Corpse Bride"? This year I'll be the bride...

gmku 09.20.2006 10:07 AM

I hate Halloween. I hate it so much that last year I "hired" my wife's manicurist to come to our house and pass out the candy for us.

Tokolosh 09.20.2006 10:09 AM

Doesn't your kid like it, when dad takes him/her trick or treating?

Everyneurotic 09.20.2006 10:13 AM

i went as emo kid two years ago, i got my tightest jeans i have, my coheed & cambria t-shirt (yes, i have a coheed and cambria t-shirt), my red chuck taylors and emptied half a bottle of hair gel on my hair down and front. it's funny that i had all the elements for the costume since i never wear any of that.

i usually i'm the laziest person for a costume, when i was in 6th grade, i went as backstage hanger-on, i dressed like i usually dress and taped a guest list to the side of my denim jacket; three years ago, i just bought a plastic jason mask and told them i was jason.

this year, to conmemorate the release of alter/altar, i'm going on a huge hooded robe and go as sunn o))).

Yeah, that would be truly scary, considering they're both out of high school. And not even living at home. Yeah, it was fun when they were little--but frankly after they lost interest, it was just a damned annoying holiday, and even when I was young and single I abhorred costume parties.

Tokolosh 09.20.2006 10:25 AM

Ok. For some reason, I thought you had toddlers.

gmku 09.20.2006 10:28 AM

I did. About 20 years ago!

Tokolosh 09.20.2006 10:32 AM

Gosh! You look younger than you really are. :D

gmku 09.20.2006 10:32 AM

it's the blue lighting.

static-harmony 09.20.2006 12:22 PM

I'll probably go as a pregnant zombie or mummy, either one.

hey alex 09.20.2006 12:37 PM

I want to go as either Abe Lincoln or bong boy (of upright citizens birgade fame, if you know)... But then I thought... add them together...

abe lincoln
+

bong boy
+
Abe Licoln with a stovetop bong hat. I hope I can accomplish this... if not this year then next

cryptowonderdruginvogue 09.20.2006 12:45 PM

I was Han Solo last year, died my hair my eyebrows and everything, trying to think of something for this year that people will know.

gmku 09.20.2006 12:48 PM

I know. Go in regular clothes and say you're dressed up as somebody who doesn't like costume parties. I'm brilliant!!!!!!
