Whoever's account it is, they seem to have impeccable taste as well as a bit of coin to throw around. plus, sellers keep saying shit like viva sonic youth in their feedback comments...
(I'm sure this isn't bogus)

whorefrost 12.06.2006 07:37 AM

i feel like such a stalker browsing through this.

whorefrost 12.06.2006 07:42 AM

More proof: buying like four 100 capacity cassette shelf things. we all know about t's unfortunate addiction to underground noise cassettes. i would bet money that this is him.

RdTv 12.06.2006 08:15 AM

i browsed through and saw stuff like:

Hey thanks Mr. Moore

TM enjoy the new goods

To me it was always you and Greg Ginn

Hits of sunshine. I love her all the time. He's got kissability

Richard Pryor on Fire 12.06.2006 11:11 AM

"fast payment + good communication from the Goo Goo Dolls dude. enjoy your tape!"

haha!!

Danny Himself 12.06.2006 11:39 AM

Hello and welcome to the new Meltdown Software web site, the site is dedicated to the programming of junior programmer Ben Everard.
The site has recently undergone a total design change, with loads of new features added, we now have a feedback system for you guys, and a content management system, error tracking and click statistics for myself.
I suggest you check out our download section where you will find all of my applications, we also have tutorials and samples aswell, and as always you comments are always welcome

this IS life

dnorsen 12.06.2006 12:19 PM

this is more than likely him, but its questionable since one seller is mystery train records which has a store in amherst which is like 15 minutes from thurston's home...

ZEROpumpkins 12.07.2006 01:33 AM

FAST PAYMENT! PLEASURE TO SELL TO... viva sonic youth! ;-)

Hmm..

RanaldoNecro 12.07.2006 11:04 AM

People,

I would consider this an encroachment on his personal space....He might decide that he doesn't want to creat great music anymore...have respect for his privacy

I know you mean well, but he's a rock star. Compared to what he deals with from fans at venues and the stalkers that dig up his home address from telemarketing files, I'm sure this doesn't even register. You know when he goes into a record store every skinny, purple hair'd boy or girl in the joint breaks their neck just to see what he's looking at or buying. Is this really any different?

Daddylikes 12.07.2006 03:29 PM

Exactly, not to mention the fact that the proper response that he would take if he felt like this was an invasion of privacy would be to create a new E-Bay username and then not divulge his actual identity to the sellers he encounters, not to quit creating music.

I'm sure Thurston gets a kick out of random strangers being curious enough as to his music/book purchasing habits that they check his ebay account to see what he's buying.

My question is, are these purchases for his own personal use, for sale, or for gifts?

I thought that the Mark Haddon Autograph book was an especially odd purchase... for Kim possibly (I've heard she's a fan)?

The Usher 12.07.2006 03:57 PM

Looking at all that cool vinyl makes me feel a bit sad that I buy most of my music on CD...

RanaldoNecro 12.07.2006 04:06 PM

Well,

I didn't mean that he would quit making muisic as direct result. It would just be another factor...Actually Billy Corgan disbanded his band for similar reasons. I mean just use common sense with these things....respect the mans privacy...

SY is not about that type of behaviour....

he's selling a bunch of tapes right now.
good stuff as well, rare markers cassette, dead machines and more...

pulsar 12.18.2006 01:54 PM

If it is him, he made a hilarious "neutral" feedback post:

"Claimed walkman was in working order but fast forward doesn't work..oh well"
