I am celebrating a new job (starting Monday) this weekend, meaning I'll be out with 'the lads' on 'the town' getting ratted and making yet more hilarious efforts to cajole nubile lesbians into my palatial mansions of lust.
Saturday will probably be spent either walking with pretty lady, trying to remove a last-ditch 2am taxi lady from my house, or playing very loud music to exorsize pain. Followed by wine and bad-accented Eastern-European insults at a friend's house.

Edit: Although I might try and catch the cricket, but I'm not sure my mashocism is up to that yet.

I was a baaadddd boy today:

"Hello:

Due to conduct exhibited during the (user-requested) locking of several What If threads, and the subsequent creation of a catch-all What If thread, the RYM admin have come to a consensus that your actions have warranted you a warning in the form of a short, temporary ban.

As I'm sure you know, the number one rule of the RYM forums is "Treat other users with respect. Do not harass, insult, or attack other members of this site in any manner, for any reason." This includes admins (both in implementation and in ruling). We understand that admins are more 'public fugues' than a lot of other users on RYM, and therefore make better (and even sometimes deserving) targets. However, the best way to issue a complaint or to bring attention to an issue with an admin is via the Contact/Feedback link at the bottom of every page. If you're going to post your concern in public for all to read, then you have to follow the RYM rules.

We're all just music lovers and I'm sure we all love having a great online community and database like RYM to share, learn and grow within. Banning users is never an easy decision to make, but sometimes it is necessary in order to keep RYM in high standards - both in content and in conduct. We hope you understand.

Feel free to contact the admin or any of us individually via PM if you have any additional comments or concerns.

Thanks."

I think I'll catch up on some sleep.

gmku, aren't DJing tonight?

gmku 12.15.2006 04:04 PM

No, the gig doesn't start until Jan. 4, man. It'll be Thurs. nights, 9-12 Central. gmku steeped in 6 watts of radio power (among other things!).

I hope you post this sort of stuff with tongue firmly into cheek.

These weekend threads depress me. I don't do shit all weekend every weekend.

Funny, I mentioned catching up on sleep this weekend, and now I'm sleepless.

The board is better tonight than its been in weeks.

Me too, but it isn't quite the same when you aren't doing anything not by choice but because your friends don't go out at all (because this town hasn't got anything interesting).

I can relate to this, but my friends and I used to at the very least 'hang out'. Making your fun is much better than seeing a movie or something a long the lines of that.

It changes when you turn 21.

pokkeherrie 12.16.2006 12:37 AM

yeah, don't worry. the older you'll get, the more you'll appreciate weekends because you'll be having less and less free time.

bedtime, porkmarras!

Alex's Trip 12.16.2006 12:38 AM

Yeah, I bet. But at least then I'll be doing something rather than being lonely doing nothing.

My friend and I found a fun easy and lazy way to 'hang out'. We both have Xbox Live, but playing games became boring. We just stay in a pregame lobby, and watch the same movie at the same time and comment via the headsets. Although, it is limited to what movies we both have.
