He can't disagree with it too much considering he played a major role in it. Plus he got to get his side of things across where he never had the oppertunity to do with all the fabricated stories that accompany Refused' break-up.

It was made by Kristofer Steen (one of the Refused guitarist), and he did a fantastic job.

Edit: And How could I have forgotten Spinal Tap!

I saw this recently and I highly recommend it. Brilliant!

Along the way are roadside encounters with present-day musical mavericks including The Handsome Family, Johnny Dowd, 16 Horsepower and David Johansen; oldtime banjo player Lee sexton; ockabilly and mountain Gospel churches - and novelist Harry Crews telling grisly stories down a dirt track.

I've seen that and it's fucking excellent and well filmed.

Nice! I definately have to check out Trash Talking. They're really shy guys if you ever get the chance to meet them, but have the best sense of humor. I have one of their 7'' albums

 

& those 'Classic Albums' VH1 Classic plays every once in a while are actually really good, especially the Electric Ladyland one.

It's amazing. You won't regret it.

I really want to see the Ya Ho Wha documentary although I have a feeling, for some reason, that it won't be very interesting from a documentary filmmaking point but the subject matter should make up for that.

Here are some of my favorites for you to check out.

GIGANTIC - the story of They Might Be Giants. great fucking documentary!!!
SLOW CENTURY - Pavement. has a great docu about the history of the band
GHENGIS BLUES - a down and out blind bluesman hears Tuvan thrroat singing on the shortwave radio (his main hobby) and learns to imitate it and ends up traveling to Tuva with a PBS crew to meet the throat singers. Great and sad.
BLIND EYE SEES ALL - Butthole Surfers, concert footage from detroit back in the day intersperced with the funniest interviews, I LOVE the BUTTHOLE SURFERS!
WOODSTOCK - the movie. amazing performances by a wide variety of acts. it would ahve been an INSANE show to see.
HAIL HAIL ROCK N ROLL!- chuck berry docu, talks about his life and documents a concert that Keith richards set up with an all star band for chuck berry's birthday. great stuff
STRAIGHT NO CHASER - documetary about the great great, disturbed Thelonious Monk. very good movie, very good insight into a man who was very hard to get to know.

Do bootleg gigs footage count?Someone gave me a Black Flag tape a while ago that it is very good quality but i'm not that fond of them.I only really like a few Black Flag songs but this seems a fitting document.

I still need to see that.

in addition to those already mentioned, dig can be very entertaining. anton newcombe's meltdowns are hm oh you gotta see them and learn whan NOT to do if you ever form a band.

also, i enjoyed theremin.

ok, this movie does have kick ass live footage and it even has the occasional insightful comment but this movie is such a caricature of hardcore. this was not a movie made by someone who understood and appreciated the music, it was made by an outsider attempting to understand it which is a dumb ass idea.
