You're ignorant and you're a moron. For someone outside of Australia to make such a comment would be somewhat understandable as Australian bands rarely get exposure on foreign turf, but for someone to say this about their own country, a country which has many great bands, takes a fucking well ignorant person who lacks any form of musical education whatsoever.

PPS - Someone showed me this Patton thing a few months ago - I thought it was funny. Wolfmother annoy me somewhat, but I could care less to waste my time bagging them out.

Good point I grew up in Cairns and finding good music was difficult but really rewarding.

I mean, there are fucking tons of great Australian bands who don't have the profile as these dudes, but it's basically the only mainstream Australian band I've dug since I was a kid. Not a very cool thing to say, I know, but I don't care. I reiterate: What a cool song.

some aus bands to check out - primitive calculators, essendon airport, the saints, the scientists, venom p stinger, lubricated goat, grong grong, 22nd sect, lizard train, dna - these are all old school aus post punk, punk or electro

I'd like to add Slugfuckers, early SPK (although I've only heard a bit), Pictish Blood (totally lost Brisbane punk band www,myspace.com/pictishblood . I found their tape for 50c in a charity store and it's amazing crass meets wire punk), mestruation sisters and their is about a billion other bands that probably only recorded one or two 7".

Man, fuck Mike Patton. I don't like Wolfmothe a lot either, they really aren't anything special at all, but neither was Faith No More. They were just as bad as Wolfmother, nay, worse. That guy had awful taste in music as well as hair styles. The only thing I can say about him is he has worked with artists much better than he such as Melt Banana.

Patton does have terrible fashion sense.
