I live in a part of London that has a very large Pakistani population but I have to say that everyone I hang out with there is white. However, I like to think that this has more to do with the cultural isolationism of so many of the Pakistani/muslim people I live around than any prejudice on my part. I'll talk to anyone but if they show no signs of wanting to talk to me I'm not going to kill myself trying to break the ice.

I like black people, and is still wonder why whities call them black when it's quite obvious they are mostly "insert all the different degrees of brown" coloured.
|
in the movie Biko, denzel washington as Biko is asked by the judge at his trial why his people want to be aclled black when they are more brown than black, and Biko asks him why they want to be called white when they are more pink than white
pinkies! |

I like hanging out with people of different backgrounds. I learn more that way.
|
If i must be serious though, i understand how the starter of this thread feels and you shouldnt jump to calling them a racist or anything. Learning that everyone is essentially the same on the inside is what experiencing life is about innit. I'll go back to laughing at the website now.

This is a dangerous statement, mainly because you fail to point out that this 'cultural isolationism' is a two-way process. If you don't go out of your way to befriend 'them' (speaking as if they're some homogenous mass of 'others'), 'they' won't go out of their way to be friends with you. If they're muslim, there's a strong chance you won't meet them in the pub, but that's not to say 'they' won't go into the pub or you won't meet them elsewise. The worst thing one can do in such a situation is assume that any group of people you don't know are somehow different from you - bottom line is, they go for a shit sitting down, they piss, they sleep, they more than likely wank before they sleep, and the men will, like yourself and most men, be somewhat tragically obsessed with the behinds of whichever sex is their preference. |

your philosophy is a form of racial prejudice. the very fact that you spend so much of your internal dialogue in these situations thinking about racial/cultural stereotypes to avoid, is none-the-less thinking about racial/cultural stereotypes. stop thinking and just TALK to people... |

Credit where credit's due - Mrlongname, you're usually full of shit, but in this instance I can only wholeheartedly agree.

porkmarrass rules

Hats off to you Porkmarras for your social skills. All I can say is that I'm not someone who tends to make such efforts, especially amongst groups of kids that have regularly found it acceptable to harrass my girlfriend and her friends because they are, in their words, 'white whores'.
|
ahhh white whores, the most expensive of all whores.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Rob Instigator again. |
Matt still hasn't explained why he hates Irish people....

I dunno. I'm sexually attracted to people of different races (especially people of East Indian descent for some reason). I guess that would mean I'm pretty tolerant then, hopefully.

Hey there were a lot of slave owners who found themselves TOTALLY attracted to their black slave women. If that's tolerance then my name's Michael Moore. |

Indian girls are hot
|
I was accused of rascism once. I was 8 or 9 years old.
I refused to hold the hand of a boy in my drama club. I had the "starring role" (...) in a dramatic death scene, lots of "family members" (drama clubbers) gathered around my "deathbed" (fold-up chair bed), and an older girl who was in the "scene" (...) with me said "Hold his hand!" (talking about this kid who I didn't really know, who happened to be standing near the head of the "bed") and I replied (in a disgusted voice) "Eugh! I'm not holding his hand!" (remember I am 8 or 9 years old.. possibly younger) she then said (really aggressively) "Why? Coz he's black?" and I replied (completely honestly, slightly appalled) "No, coz he's a BOY!" It was hilarious. And ridiculous. And humiliating. |

I don't think "hot" is the word you'd use to describe Indian women. 'Beautiful' would be more apt. |
I usually find myself usu=ing beautiful as well idnestead of "hpt". it's more sincere
|
I prefer "bonerific".
|
"Sassy" always works for me.
|
racism to sexism, it's a lil' stretch.

Different things, my little inebriated friend. 'Hot' is a lady who walks past and you automatically think of fucking and not much else. 'Beautiful' is when they encompass your every thoughts at first glance. |
i have black neighbors. they like me. lots.

True. I think I was trying to impersonate a "logical, polite" person in my previous post. I really do call people hot. Not often, but often enough. |

Indian girls are HOT
|
Generally, when you call someone "hot" you are really projecting your own feelings onto them. Its you who is sexually stimulated by the other's image. The other person makes YOU hot. You can build a whole world in your mind on the other's perceived hotness, but really you are just projecting your own pathology onto them.
