They were a really good head-fuck band both live and on record. Not one to listen to whilst doing the dishes though! I really got into their later stuff, which was longer, took time to build and had a much deeper, heavier bass sound. Arc-lite 12", Black Sun 12" and the Guilded album.

I was at that Richmnd gig! Did you see them play at the Zap?
If you ever find that tape, please let me know and I'll try and beg a copy off you. Mind you, my recollections of the Richmond, both as performer and in the audience, are that the PA was pretty shit back in the day.
It's alot better now. I went to see Holy Fuck there a few weeks back and they sounded great.
It's not called The Richmond any more, it's now The Pressurepoint.

For anyone who's wondering what the fuss is all about, I've uploaded Loop's first two EPs here. Track 3, Burning World, would feature in my all-time top ten tracks by any band, if I had one.

i was just listening to a gilded eternity and "be here now" is fucking awesome
as well as "breathe into me", on that album at least.

I've been listening to Loop in my car for like 2 weeks now.
