The Dark Knight was fairly daring for a mainstream Hollywood superhero film or whatever. I was kinda surprised it was that popular, given its often kindameanspirited tone (by typical "successful Hollywood film" standards), ridiculous length (2 1/2 hours with about 10 unneeded plot points), and Christian Bale's awful acting.. his Batman voice, in particular, is HORRIBLE!

There were a few amazing scenes, and they were all joker scenes.. him sticking his head out the window, the hospital blowing up scene, and so on. Pretty good film. About a hundred times better than Begins. Will I ever want to watch it again for the rest of my life? Hell no.

6/10.

I have my quips with the movie, but he's supposed to be a guy disguising his voice. That's exactly what it would sound like.

Yeah, I know that, but he still sounds RIDICULOUS. Michael Keaton, George Clooney (!), and Val Kilmer didnt sound that bad.

Bale sounds ridiculous but Keaton looked ridiculous. Too short, not believable. Cool face but the rest was whack.

This movie is not as bad as people try to make it seem, they are just going against the mold because it got so much fucking hype.

In my opinion the hype was well deserved. Despite his voice there are some scenes where Batman nails it visually and is pretty badass.

They actually altered Bales Bat-voice in post-production, I dunno why he couldn't naturally try for Kevin Conroys gruffness on his own.

Yeah I always loved Chicago too..

Better a real city than a cardboard Model rip off of 1930s New York....

Bale sounds PERFECT as batman. in all the batman comics it is always explained that he talks differently as batman, partly to hide his identity and partly to scare the bad guys. I finally saw the movie ast night. fucking GREAT

I saw it the other day. for a movie like that it was pretty good. Should've been more over the top, but being a huge mass market film, what can you do. oh well.
