how come no one listens to jawbox anymore?

I do. "Savory" is one of my all time favorite songs. My old friend Ryan was living with me about a year ago and he was listening to this band called "strikeforce diablo" that sounded IDENTICAL to Jawbox, so I burnt him all the Jawbox stuff and I got re-addicted to them.

I also love Sunny Day Real Estate, "Diary" used to be my favorite album when I was a Freshman. "Lp2" is probably in my top 25 recordings ever.

i'm listening to diary for the first time in forever, man i love it!!! it was my favorite album in like '99 or something.

They are so good, it's scary.
I've seen em 2 times so far, each time they were amazing and really nice guys. And they are one of the few bands that play in Austria every time they're in Europe - extra credits

Unfortunately not, but I sure will go to see them when (and if) they will play round here. You're a lucky man to have witnessed them live because if the records are anything to go by, they must an amazing band live.

They even sound better live, believe me. You should really go and see them when they're around.

Hey if you like Neptune you probably also like Tigrova Mast. I uploaded their record and put the link in that "Post rare or out of print ..." thread.

They're not THAT similar-sounding but they had kind of the same stage attitude going on (without the self-made instruments)
