i don't have a vision of him as this dark moody artist that just needs to be loved, nor do i search for that in the music i listen to. He just seems to be repeating a familiar pattern, and i don't want him to die unexpectedly and COMPLETELY FUCKING UNNECESSARILY too.

Thanks SC now I have another band to look for. I like this song Sad and Beautiful World on youtube.
|
who is SC?
|
SS, I am near the sun, and lack of sleep. Sorry.
|
ah, okay.
Get "Its a wonderful life" as your first Sparklehorse album. I gave that album to a guy at uni earlier this week and he's mad about them now. |
Don't burn up, Synth!
|

If we're going to live together, you have to stop calling it vinyl. It's LP. I have an LP collection. Or you can say I have a record collection, even better. It's not flooring. |

I would start with spelling "vinyl" correctly first. |
please! they're albums!!!!!!!
|
I say LPs most of the time, or records. Albums is my third choice, unless I'm talking about a set of 78s in an "album" folder.
|
list of my vinyl terminology:
album, record : 12" LP 45 : 7" single 10" : 10" EP and there you have it. |
in recording industry nerd-ese
a record is one track, one song, like "let's go make a record" an album is a collection of songs an LP is a specific type of album, either way I call them all MINE |
sorry if my incorrect musical jargon is too common for you elitists
|
hahahah! your jargon is just as valid as anyone elses.
I personally call them all RECORDS if they are vinyl 7" records, 12" records etc.... |
i love the word jargon
|
It sounds like a space hero's arch-nemesis.
"I'll get you someday, Jargon!" |

Sometimes I call LPs platters or wax. Does that make me too cool?
|
platters ha
i'm pretty sure i once read a book where this impoverished family used LPs for plates. |
There used to be a record store somewhere I lived (Minneapolis, Denver?) called Platter Puss.
