You don't have to, though, really.. do you?

If you really wanted to, you could gobble down a big fat greasy chicken wing and savour the beautiful texture of the fried skin as it slides across your tongue, Colonel Sander's spices exploding, flourishing in a hullabaloo of FLAVOUR!!!

around 60 hours without sleeping in between. done that at least twice.

in contrast, the longest i've ever slept "continuously" was about 28 hours, waking up 2-3 times in between but not leaving the bed.

i think the longest i ever slept in one go was 18 hours. that was after some pretty heavy duty stuff (travelling, drinking, partying etc).

Over a week when I was at college. I would then just collapse and sleep for a couple of days. I wouldn't and couldn't do it again now, though.

Nature prevailed and I fell asleep at about 4.
I noticed near the end that if I stared at something it wobbled and moved around a bit, and also if I looked at a patterned rug for example there'd be tiny sparks and the occasional black dot moving around.

Over a week would really make life weird.

i need to stay up one day, i'm sick of being sleepy.

anyhoo, most i've slept was like three days, sometimes waking up for 10 minutes and then going back for hours.

The only difference was that I didn't remember any dreams. I was woken up by a maintenance guy knocking at my door, and it was really fast, as soon as I woke I replied to the knocking nd got straight out of bed.

That sounds like a potential album title, book title, name of a piece of art etc.
Can you link me to some information about neurone death as a result of lack of sleep? Wikipedia didn't even mention it as a consequence of sleep deprivation.

pokkeherrie 11.14.2007 05:37 PM

With me it's always the exact opposite. I tend to remember dreams much better whenever I'm catching up sleep after staying awake for too long. I usually don't even remember my dreams when I sleep normal times.
