Are there new fangled thoughts?
I heard someone say my name once last year when nobody was around. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a normal old fashioned thought. But I'm sure it was a manifestation of my subconscious, since the waking world slips into my dream world, I know the opposite can happen. |

Wow, yeah i get exactly the same thing! |

I would like to clarify this earlier statement by adding "we talk with others". I hope this helps. :) |

named for the family's prowess with hammers, I'm sure.

i talk to other people in my head waaaaay after i've left them physically. my grandfather who is 93 talks to people from his childhood in another country by himself. i have a theory about this. ahem. when we talk to people who aren't there we are praying to them. sorry for the religious notion. but that's all i could do to express the link between conversations with no one and conversations with real people. maybe it's not religious at all. short-term memory adjustment? idk.

Oh, yeah. It's fantastic. I missed my imagination.
|
"Are you talking to me??"
|
Yes. All the time. I drive a lot....and sometimes without a radio.
|
I still do. . . talking to famous people, people I know, fictional people, etc. . . I catch myself and then start a conversation about how I have conversations in my head. . . then I catch myself again.
I guess I'm just the eternal introvert |

No need to apologize, though I have a separate idea. . . I think that talking honestly to people is a great fantasy that we have. Not only that, but when we have great ideas, it is wonderful to throw them out in your head in a conversation. . . you speak eloquently. . . the other person doesn't talk, they just hear you out. In reality people are quite rude and interrupt you and question you and don't let you get to your points. . . or you feel threatened by their presence and stammer on your words. |
