I have a friend who does porn. She's a very close friend. And I feel the need to defend her [to legions of people I don't know - nice one, Glice]. Because she's very sharp, knows exactly what she's doing (making more money than anyone else I know and most of the way towards being a vet), is well-appreciated and in complete control over what happens to her (very good agent). I've met some of her 'work colleagues', and it's interesting to note that while some of them fulfill the category of 'dumb whore', not all of them do.
I can understand people thinking pornstars are dumb, but from personal experience this isn't the case all the time. It's only degrading if the woman doesn't feel comfortable doing it - I'm sure that's the case some of the time, but some women just have excessive sex drives and like to do it on camera. |
