as a result, i had an awesome vegan muffuletta for lunch today. the joy. and speaking of quirkies: ![]() she's more than quirky-- she's outright weird!! i love becky stark also-- fursaxa ![]() |
I had no idea what a muffuletta was so I googled it so I've learnt that it's some type of sicilian style bread/sandwich but now I wanna try one :(
|
Muffaleta is a delicious sandwhich, originated in Louisiana, that consistes of delicious focaccia bread, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and a delicious black olive and garlic spread, more of a chutney.
they are mazingly good, originally they were made, then wrapped up, and put away in the fridge ofr a couple of days for the flavors to combine a bit. they leave yr breath FUNKAY |

yeah it's a sicilian bread but also a famous new orleans sandwich made with said bread my fake muffuletta is not in fact made with muffuletta bread but with a big round bread (in my case, a paesano) & stuffed with veggies & left to soak in its juices overnight in the fridge. olives, eggplant, roasted red peppers, spinach, garlic, and many herbs, with olive oil and a couple of vinegars. hurray! |
yawn.
