Buy insurance or a warranty. They will give you a new one. My friend had one of the old iPods and they sent him a brand new video iPod when his broke. He's on like his 6th iPod and he just bought a mini to begin with.

damn i should have bought it but i didn't. i don't think you can buy a warranty later on. you have to buy it when you purchase your ipod, or i think at least only 30 days later. that's awesome that they gave him a video ipod, but i like my mini the best. i think it looks the best out of all of them.

not true. i bought my 30GB vid ipod in early december and got the insurance only last week...

i got my ipod from CompUSA. my insurance from apple.com. if you registered your ipod online you can check how many days are left on your original warranty and/or if it's still eligible for AppleCare Protection Plan...
