I still say as far as horrer movies go, this is the standard that all others are measured by, and none have beaten.

acousticrock87 05.29.2006 04:53 PM

I just bought that a few months ago. Best movie ever. Not scary, but everyone should watch it, regardless.

johnnywinternoshow 05.29.2006 04:59 PM

land of the dead was so disappointing, nowhere near the quality of the other 3

ricechex 05.29.2006 05:15 PM

johnnywinternoshow 05.29.2006 05:27 PM

that movie wishing stairs i mentioned in my first post, soooooo fucking boring i gave up an hour and ten minutes in. Painfully slow and a real let down for tartan asian extreme

krastian 05.29.2006 06:10 PM

The original Night of the Living Dead's cemetary scenes were filmed in my hometown where everyone in my family is buried....hopefully I'll be buried there too.....oh yes.

Laila,
Haha The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 was gross, I hated how that guy would heat up the clothes hanger and jab it at his metal plate.

The scene in Mulholland Drive when that 'guy' pops out from the alleyway is pretty horrific. But the movie itself isn't very scary.

Last House on the Left is pretty strange too, I guess it could scare people.

That scared the crap out of me. I though it was going to be a scary movie because of that. Then it turned out to be a porno. That movie was so confusing.

I read an article somewhere that Mulholland Drive was supposed to have been a tv serie like twin peaks but Lynch could not convince the broadcasters to give him airtime and therefore put everything into one movie which makes it a little confusing because it's not complete.

thanks, i got some shit from people at the begining but i love it now and i don't care what other people think. and a few people have PM'd me asking what his music is like and what i'd recommend. so i feel like ive spread the word. which is fanatastic.
Elliott Smith was a beautiful beautiful genious and he needs to be remembered.

Trasher02 05.30.2006 01:20 PM

Scary movie?
I suddenly feel sooo dirty.

acousticrock87 05.30.2006 01:24 PM

Ya I actually didn't really know much about him as a solo artist until I saw that. I've always really liked Heatmiser in passing, though, so I bought some of their music and like it even more now. I listened to some of his solo stuff a few days ago. Great stuff.

Been years since I've seen that but yeah it freaked me out when I watched it.

Why is hell always seen as a place where loads of sex happens and stuff?
