gmku 08.06.2008 11:19 AM

My "go to" sauce is just regular old Pace Picante. Cheap and widely available. I use it in my scrambled eggs sometimes.

Frank's is awesome because you can use a lot without it being overpowering.

I use hot sauce as a condiment more than salsa, but I love them both.

if I want heat I go for Yucateca green

pbradley 08.06.2008 11:36 AM

Thanks for the rec. I go to Pace entirely out of habit.

Course, I live in BBQ sauce land here (blech) so I'm not sure there's a variety of salsa to be had, but I'll look.

that shit's delicious atari 2600 just ate some

from King of the Hill, when peggy and hank hill were being introduced as the honored guests of an all asian country club (they were the token whites)
"I'd like you to meet Mr. Sriracha, of hot sauce fame" - Supanousanphom
"Oh! It is a pleasure! I recognize you from the label of your sauce."-peggy hill
"There is a rooster on the label." - Mr Sriracha

That stuff is spectacular. Also - trivia time. It is the most popular hot sauce condiment in prisons because of its plastic packaging.

✌➬ 08.06.2008 01:12 PM

This two are my favorite hot sauce. This one is not made for whitey.

Yes I know, but so damn good. I like the red one better.

Rob Instigator 08.06.2008 01:33 PM

terriblecanyons 08.23.2008 11:35 PM

I like my salsa burn-your-tongue-off hot.

MellySingsDoom 08.24.2008 03:09 AM

The extra hot peri-peri sauce that Nando's do rocks hard:

at this mex restuarant this afternoon in rehoboth beach called dos locos, i tried their jalapeno and habenero sauces and they were both quite mild, and i mentioned that to my server, and he said in his mischevious nellie voice " i'll be right back", out comes this little cup of brown sauce called "melt your face off"

whew............i am happy my taste buds didn't go away for long to enjoy the food

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 08.28.2008 07:35 PM

I really like Sriracha Sauce for Döner Kebabs, asian food, and pizza. I prefer more southern/mexican hot sauce with other stuff.

demonrail666 08.28.2008 07:43 PM

A small dash of tabasco on the yoke of a frying egg is a godlike thing

EMMAh 08.28.2008 07:45 PM

I like pretty much any salsa and any hot sauce.

I really like Chiefs hot sauce, I'm going to be sad when I run out though because I don't think you can buy it outside of Trinidad.

I like Nando's but It does seem to have become that place to take a date when you think a KFC might not be quite sophisticated enough. It's The Ivy for people that have Leona Lewis as their ringtone. Innit.

Word. Anyway, it's all about the Bodeans for me these days:

EMMAh 08.28.2008 09:22 PM

I hadn't read the thread until now.

I find it weird that some of you people don't like Tabasco! You fucking freaks.

The hot sauces I have at my house are Franks, Tabasco, and Chiefs. We did have a bunch of random home made ones we had bought but they're all gone. The Chiefs is my favorite because it's got a good ass taste and it's thick and chunky.

I love hot sauce of pretty much everything. Pizza, nachos, sandwiches, wraps, in soups, anything really.

As for salsa, I don't really have a favorite brand or anything. As long as it's chunky and at least a little hot (at LEAST) I'll eat it all up.

Fuck my mouth is watering.

Spicy food is the shit.

Cantankerous 08.28.2008 09:57 PM

i like tabasco on my fried chicken

and i like salsa on cheeeeeeeeips.

EMMAh 08.28.2008 10:07 PM

Sometimes I mix my salsa with sour cream and dip my chips in it.

Not always though, I have to be in the mood.
