animal tied with the old men and then gonzo. but these are my top favorites, since i love them all.

grover, the cookie monster, the count and the big monsters have always been my favorite sesame street characters.

muppet babies was also one of my favorite cartoons when i was really young.

and miss piggy, i like her rage rampages.

The muppets are fucking cool. I truely mean that. Not in an emo type "I like kids stuff so I'm cute" way, but because older kids-programs and cartoons etc are great. I see kids shit on tv these days and feel sorry that they'll never get to be apart of all the cool shit from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Sesame Street has still maintain a very DIY approach to their sets etc which I think it cool, althought I saw some computer animated background the other week which I hope they don't move into - it just wouldn't be the same show.

The obvious answer is Statler and Waldorf.

This reminds me of one of my family's Christmas traditions: every year, we watch The Muppet Christmas Carol - we probably know all of the dialogue off by heart, but we don't get tired of it.

also known as the BEST "A Christmas Carol" rendition ever. I don't care what anyone says or what comes after. It will never be topped.

It manages to flip between slapstick comedy and the serious stuff really well. And there's so many incredible lines in it.

Quote:

Ebenezer Scrooge: Let us deal with the eviction notices for tomorrow, Mr. Cratchit.
Kermit the Frog: Uh, tomorrow's Christmas, sir.
Ebenezer Scrooge: Very well. You may gift wrap them.
