I used to skate, back in the day. I just used to try bigger and bigger ollies, and I liked attemting to tear down cobblestones.

One time in Birkenhead Park at the bottom of a hill, I hit a small patch of sand and went flying, and my lower teeth went through my lower lip. Funny stuff (less so at the time clearly).

The Stupids were my skate band o choice. And there was a skate fanzine called 'Muties From the Fifth Dimension' that was great.

I love seeing the gangs of skaters and the parkour people taking over unused bits of city at the weekend - they're a good crowd, much better than seeing a load of chavs messing the place up.

I just used to sit on it and ride it down the street....that's about it.

I'd love to skate... Never had the time or money... The closest I've got was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, though I used to fool around with some of the kids around my school and gawk at their decks...
