Tusk by Fleetwood Mac

I think

Typical answer is BMR but the runner up would be Swans-Greed/ Holy Money (only if I can have the reissue with both! if not it's probably Sisters' Floodland or something similiarly gothy.

Death & the Maiden 03.02.2009 01:17 AM

Einstuerzende Neubauten - Haus der Luege

Death & the Maiden 03.02.2009 01:24 AM

Laughing Clowns - Golden Days: When Giants Walked the Earth. Maybe the runner up, even though it's a compilation

And I've been listening to this heaps lately, it could also be one of my favourites.

Both albums have bird-related things on them. Coincidence?

fugazifan 03.03.2009 02:21 AM

since i have to choose one then i'll probably go with

ive stopped thinking in terms of albums and more in terms of artists. like john fahey, ennio moricone and the sun city girls are probably the three artists that i like the most, but i dont have one album of theirs that i love more than anything. this could be due to the fact that since all three have such a large output i am constantly discovering more music by them, thus dont have the time to place my finger on one particular, knowing that i will discover another that will blow me away.
or something....

Rob Instigator 03.03.2009 10:26 AM

all ye pussies that can't think of just one, make a decision! take a stand! scream it out for the world to hear!

____________ IS MY FAVORITE ALBUM OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'has to be John Coltrane's Ascension

Death & the Maiden 03.03.2009 09:20 PM

Yes, Haus der Luege does mean House of the Lies, but I think ZEROpumpkins was joking...

ATL is overrated by fans, if you ask me.

greedrex 03.04.2009 05:05 AM

^^ no it's a mindblowing LP.

Schizophrenia 03.04.2009 06:55 AM

I think ATL is a good album, but that's all. There's better.

Oh well i can't choose between FIVE, so here it goes:

charles mingus - the black saint and the sinner lady
john coltrane - a love supreme
sonic youth - sister
sonic youth - murray street
sonic youth - daydream nation

SuchFriendsAreDangerous 03.04.2009 01:04 PM

my three favorite albums of all time:

uhler 03.04.2009 02:12 PM

i'll try again:

young marble giants- "colossal youth"
my top five if you don't include "daydream nation" (it would be number two).

i don't care that i included two comps in this list.

_slavo_ 03.04.2009 03:08 PM

I've been thinking about this quite a lot and came to a fairly surprising conclusion:

Rob Instigator 03.04.2009 03:10 PM

that shit is so great at 3 in the morning LOUD as fuck

sarramkrop 03.05.2009 04:10 PM

Sometimes I think my favourite rock record is a toss between the Jesus and Mary Chain's 'Psychocandy' and The Morticians' 'Freak Out with The Morticians'. One was some sort of call to arms, the other one was the first record I owned which had a DIY punk look on the sleeve, and sounds like a perfect mixture of garage/the stooges. I can still remember holding both the vinyls in my hands and getting super-excited about the prospect of putting them on the turntable. I still love them in a special way.

sarramkrop 03.05.2009 04:16 PM

Also, everyone in those bands looked like 'SEX'.
