hahahahaa
even though i love them. but i can see the dislike for their recent records

sarramkrop 04.15.2009 01:48 PM

They are worse than a weekly travel-pass that expired on a day you thought it was still valid, while you are stuck inside the tube and you realise you left your credit card at home, so the only thing you can do is pay a penalty.

sarramkrop 04.15.2009 01:52 PM

They are the doctor telling you that your newborn is healthy and breathing, but somehow seems to have an arm missing, just after you cried and jumped with joy about becoming a father. That shit.

Rob Instigator 04.15.2009 02:00 PM

I hate this line

"is there no reason it can't be/the way it was musically/my three best friends so casually/just letting go so joyfully"

Rob Instigator 04.15.2009 02:03 PM

who is he asking? himself? fuck that pussy bitch.

sarramkrop 04.15.2009 02:10 PM

Is that an Animal Collective line? No wonder they aren't even capable of asking questions directly, like your mum would probably say.

Animal Collective are a stronger strain of the aids virus which requires drugs that can cope with it immediately. Sometimes in a combination, taken at the same time of the day after a meal, or sometimes with an empty stomach.

noisereductions 04.15.2009 03:00 PM

Yeah. I love that album.

Rob Instigator 04.15.2009 03:32 PM

I like my music like this

more often than like this

(note, this is not a comment on the attractiveness of these 4 ladies, but their purely superficially judged attitude.)

afterthefact 04.15.2009 04:17 PM

You say that, but does that really go along with the fact that you like The Sea And Cake?

sarramkrop 04.15.2009 04:22 PM

They Might Be Giants or Animal Collective.

one band out of 500 that's slow and mellow.

hence my inclusion of the words "more often"

sea & cake's got soul.

afterthefact 04.15.2009 04:30 PM

Fo sho.

SonicBebs 04.15.2009 04:34 PM

i like it and i like strawberry jam

Toilet & Bowels 04.15.2009 05:43 PM

what kind of a band calls a record strawberry jam, for fucks sake?

davenotdead 04.15.2009 05:59 PM

Animal Collective is one my favorite bands. MPP is a great album.

joe11121 04.15.2009 09:07 PM

I agree with NR, MPP is a pretty cool album.

Death & the Maiden 04.15.2009 09:24 PM

I listened to some of it on the internet, and it didn't interest me at all.

noisereductions 04.15.2009 09:50 PM

I dnt see how "listening to some of it on the internet", or listening to it once, or half-listening to it, etc can make you form a solid opinion. On first listen I said "oh yeah, it's okay" (and I'm a huge fan). On 2nd, 3rd, 4th listen I said "it's not as good as STRAWBERRY JAM, etc" on 5th, 6th, 7th listen I fell in love.

Death & the Maiden 04.15.2009 10:28 PM

I didn't say I hate it or it was absolutely awful. I just said it didn't interest me. I know that with some music you have to let it sink in over a period of time, but I don't feel like listening to something when it doesn't really fit in with my current musical phase, right now it's Black Metal and Boris.

Toilet & Bowels 04.16.2009 02:24 AM

my opinion of animal collective hasn't changed since the first time i heard them about 6 or 7 years ago

simply because i don't want to invest that sort of time in something which my instinct tells me isn't worth it, based on a cursory listen. i mean, really...'my girls' is stomach-churning awfulness...

PAULYBEE2656 04.16.2009 10:22 AM

modest mouse has sucked for over a decade now....
