Going to Atlanta!
|
CAIN's BALLROOM, again?!?! I was afraid us Okies were only going to be treated to this show that one year. This is so amazing to see them scheduling this venue again. That last show was so fucking monumental for me!!!
If they play Expressway...I could truly die a happy man... Cyall at Cain's!!! |
I'll def. be at my routine show at the 930 Club in DC.....I'm really glad it falls on Sat. versus like a Weds. or something.
The Philly and Virginia shows are tempting too. I broke down and bought the BEGN on Matador today mainly to get the tix without having to sweat about it/worry about ordering them at work. Hopefully they'll retire 100% which I've heard a million times in DC and play Sunday or something.....ha ha ha ha ha. I'm pumped!!! |

I think they didn't, as I recall... |

Seattle! I'd like to go to Portland, as well. Summer Road Trip '09, lol... |

But dude! They can't do that! i have finals that week! somebody tell them to do so.cal on the weekend... (summer school sucks) p.s.: SY at Big Sur > Pink Floyd at Pompeii or maybe floating on a raft at La Brea Tar Pits, or in Mojave: Gila Monster Jamboree, Pt 2. (SY w/ ghost of gram parsons on aeolian harp), etc... |
Hell yeah! opening up in Chicago I'm so there
|
If there is no Toronto date then there is little chance I will see SY. I've never even seen them live before :(. Hopefully they stop in Toronto though. And hopefully I can catch them if they do.
|
dang, dirtmont gets the sy records but rarely ever the sonic youth
|
A date for Sunday, July 26 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver just popped up on Ticketmaster, only to be quickly removed. This has to mean more dates will be added!

Good. A Canadian date! Come on Toronto! |
Looks like I'll be catching them in Royal Oak and Denver!
|
Looking at the Tour Schedule, I'd imagine there will be a Toronto show on June 30. I hope so anyway...
Peace. |

Now THAT's something to get excited about.. (for me, I mean!) I could handle just doing Seattle/Vancouver, if that's how it works out. Who takes 2 days off between Seattle and Portland? Or is there another show in the works............... Seems like years ago I would've had the answers to these questions, but nobody tells me anything anymore. Hell, I haven't even heard "The Eternal" yet. :p ..or have I? (no) flophousefloozie! you comin' to vic yet? ;) |

On July 3rd, they play at United Palace, which is so far uptown, it actually qualifies as their Boston show. Hopefully, they'll play a New York show on this tour. |
Long stretch between Seattle and Portland. That bodes well for some solo action and house parties in the NW!
|
Makes sense though, if they do Vancouver the day after Seattle, and then take a day off to drive down to Portland. Hope that's true...

Actually, I'm on my way to Vancouver on Tuesday! I have an aunt and uncle in Victoria, and my mother will be house-sitting for them next month, so I will be paying a visit. I can't wait... Any suggestions on where to go? |
Anybody have any ideas for openers??

Nah, I don't get out much. |
Has anybody been to the United Palace place in NY? The pictures of it I've seen make it look like somewhere where I don't think I'd want to see them. Tickets $38/45? That kind of sucks.
