yes there are times when i think i will stop drinking totaly. i hate having hangovers and the stupid stuff that happens when i get drunk. when i look back there has not been one weekend in several years when i have not drunk quite a lot and i find that strange. there used to be people i knew who wouldnt talk to me in the pub unless i had a beer infront of me and couldnt understand the option of not drinking and just being social. i mean really would refuse to say anything exept childish comments. they also hated cafe's becuase you couldnt drink beer.

I can take it or leave it. No matter how often I drink during various time periods, I have a VERY low tolerance to alcohol. A little whiskey and I'm drunk'r than a skunk.

drinking is good
drinking with yr mates is great
drinking alone can be liberating and insightful sometimes in times of down
drinking is good when you can handle it

why quit then?

Cantankerous 07.27.2006 04:13 AM

there's no reason for that. pull your head out of your ass, daycare.

i agree,
don't be a dumbass and just don't drink too much.

Tokolosh 07.27.2006 04:34 AM

I don't really find it necessary to stop. I've never been a binge drinker and my fridge isn't always filled with alcohol. Love wine collecting. One of my passionate hobbies.

nicfit 07.27.2006 04:38 AM

i haven't had a single sip of alcohol since july 8th.i simply do not feel the need to drink lately.i'm quite happy with that,i saved a bunch of euros.

Iain 07.27.2006 08:08 AM

Yeah, it saves you a shitload of money that you can spend on records or whatever. I stopped drinking about 4 years ago. I still have the occaisional drink but haven't been drunk for about 4 years, maybe 5 actually.

gmku 07.27.2006 11:36 AM

I gave up drinking years ago. I only drink beer now.

Savage Clone 07.27.2006 12:23 PM

As drugs go, I found this one uninteresting.
Never been a drinker, never developed a taste for alcoholic beverages.

gmku 07.27.2006 02:02 PM

mmmm mmmm good!

porkmarras 07.27.2006 03:06 PM

I hope that's not Darkside the band Diesel. It's really dark in there.

jon boy 07.27.2006 03:56 PM

i like berlin or indeed europe as a whole for the fact that you dont have to drink when you go out. in england, especially the north you cant really go to a pub on a saturday and order coffee. well not if you wanna feel comfortable.

You have a problem with The Darkside?
One of the most underrated 90s psych bands to my ears.
"All That Noise" is a fanastic LP, and "Guitar Voodoo" is one of my favorite instrumental drug-rock tunes of all time!

porkmarras 07.27.2006 04:06 PM

Carry on vomiting.............dude.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 07.27.2006 04:55 PM

For someone who always enjoys calling out other people's spelling oddities i find it surprising that 'fantastic' has now become 'fanastic'.How odd is that?

I'll quote with no response.IT's more interesting.

Savage Clone 07.27.2006 08:44 PM

I think that was a response of sorts.

oops...I'm having a glass of wine.

kingcoffee 07.27.2006 10:43 PM

Daycare, maybe if you gave up drinking you might see that Rather Ripped is not such a good album. In other words, being "Ripped" + Rather Ripped = over-enthusiastic misconceptions of a subpar record.

Daycare Nation 07.27.2006 10:59 PM

Nice theory, but I've heard it mainly while sober, and it rules!

Norma J 07.28.2006 12:55 AM

I had a beer whilst out at lunch today. I'm learning moderation.

Daycare Nation 07.28.2006 07:47 PM

I haven't learned how to stop at one beer. I can stop at three or four.

Maybe you should hear it whilst drunk.

Daycare Nation 07.29.2006 03:19 PM

I heard it then too and it ruled!
