well, I guess he's gotten his white grapes now...

"For example, the Koran says martyrs going to heaven will get ''hur,'' and the word was taken by early commentators to mean ''virgins,'' hence those 72 consorts. But in Aramaic, hur meant ''white'' and was commonly used to mean ''white grapes.''

Some martyrs arriving in paradise may regard a bunch of grapes as a letdown. But the scholar who pioneered this pathbreaking research, using the pseudonym Christoph Luxenberg for security reasons, noted in an e-mail interview that grapes made more sense in context because the Koran compares them to crystal and pearls, and because contemporary accounts have paradise abounding with fruit, especially white grapes."

floatingslowly 05.02.2011 01:19 PM

I think he meant they would get white women.

all of those people want our white women.

Its not news that the president (or any of our presidents) assassinate people across the world, these days Obama assassinates someone in Pakistan practically every day. But it is usually quite hushed as it is in obviously poor taste. All these people chanting "USA" in the streets make me nervous. The crowds gathering in New York and DC screaming out a jubilant blood lust, that is disheartening. I mean if a decade of war(s) hasn't dampened the anger and hatred, what will? This is actually very dangerous, if Americans celebrate assassinations as justice, how can the expect justice to prevail in our own country with such skewed and immoral standards? Kyrie Eleison!

People will find any excuse to party. It is not based out of any real insight into the situation.

Exactly. Its so wrong. Dancing around like idiots and waving your US Flags is only going to befell more hatred towards America. As for Osama.. he will be replaced by someone even worse, endless cycle of "terrorism" and extreme hatred towards America keeps on going.

How do you expect people to react when the most wanted man in America has died??? Come the fuck on now. You are totally over analyzing this shit.

EVOLghost 05.02.2011 02:37 PM

He's not over analyzing, he's simply seeing it from a different eye. Surely you can accept that right?

EVOLghost 05.02.2011 03:01 PM

this is the Gods' way of punishing me for being such a troll.

I REPENT!

RanaldoNecro 05.02.2011 04:07 PM

For these people, 9/11 happened "because they hate us", overlooking the decades of unwarranted presence the US has had in the Middle East, both economically and militarily. People taking to the streets, reveling in an event that WILL NOT change their day-to-day life, is only a symbol to the rest of the world that US aggression is truly mutual; the people of the US back the occupation that compromises these nation's to achieve a real democracy.

Excellent point. Best i've heard yet.

RanaldoNecro 05.02.2011 04:09 PM

Empires will come and go but Bin Laden 'accomplished' more than anyone will ever in the Arab world.

my thoughts exactly. the picture of him circling around is clearly shopped from a photo of osama and a photo of another al-quida member that was killed a few years ago.

I find this to be ridiculous. The only information you have about the man comes from the media. Who cares if it was photoshopped?!? The media told you he was alive, now the media tells you he's dead.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to jonathan again.

EXACTLY! That is why it is literally irrelevant to argue about if Obama really killd Osama or not, because that plays into the US government's ploy the entire time that Osama is really the problem or that Osama even really exists!

http://cbskool.files.wordpress.com/2...pg?w=385&h=270
That is why I really could care less who the president assassinates against international law, my main concern is how do my fellow americans react? I'd say the blood lust dancing in streets warrants a bit of apprehension..

floatingslowly 05.02.2011 10:15 PM

UBL was a driving figure of Jihad back when you kids were pissing yourselves over ninja turtles.

whether or not you choose to believe, on a daily basis, the lie-machine that made him, the US had no room for fuck ups on this one. all it would take is a videocamera and a newspaper.

that said, although there's no doubt in my mind that "they got him", I wouldn't be shocked to find out in 30 years that they kept him alive and in a very dark hole.

knox 05.02.2011 11:08 PM

how dark? how hole?

I don't think you understand how little of a fuck I give about the situation either way. I don't believe the media in any sense. I'm just saying they did a piss poor job of even trying to pass off this whole thing.

jonathan 05.03.2011 12:53 AM

If you think he is alive and then now you think that the media is involved in some sort of cover-up regarding his death, then you do believe the media because it's not like you really know he ever existed. All I'm saying is that if you're going to believe he was ever alive, you might as well believe he is legitimately dead.

I bet Osama regretted turning down the invitation to the royal wedding.

tw2113 05.03.2011 11:39 AM

I bet he regretted giving his real address on the PSN

Ghostchase 05.03.2011 12:57 PM

NO. This happened. Haven't you heard!? Some IT student was vacationing in Abnottabad and was up late that night, since he couldn't sleep. It just so happens, he tweeted about a helicopter hoovering near this place he was staying.

*rolls eyes*

I heard this on CBC Radio last night. Like come on.. "OH, someone TWEETED about SEEING IT HAPPEN. IT MUST BE TRUE." This generation is pathetic.

My other favorite line related to Osama's death stuff was Obama's birth certificate being Osama's last horcrux. But that's just me getting Harry Potter nerdy

Supposedly this act by Obama had something to do with him not receiving an invitation.

Why would a US president be obligated to keep a bust of a Brit PM in his office? We fought a revolution from the fucking Brits. Some of us haven't forgotten the massacres or press gangs.
