Are you a masochist? I can rep you if you want.:o

Savage Clone 10.01.2007 04:11 PM

Ha!
The whole thing is pretty silly, isn't it?
I place very little stock in the whole "rep" thing, as I assume most everyone here does if they've been here for any length of time.

pbradley 10.01.2007 04:18 PM

I have 65443 rep points which I suppose is good for 6 months.

But all rep does is make me feel awkward about something I posted.

It's disgraceful to have the most reputation points. The sought-after "achievement" merely signifies that you are an utterly insincere poster that is rarely geniune and who constantly curries favor with (a) clique(s).

For that matter, the whole internet is this way since it lends itself to such anonymity and pretention.

how do you know yr rep points?

Savage Clone 10.01.2007 04:28 PM

Atari: I see your point, but sonicl has been at the top for some time and I would not say for a second that he is remotely the type to deliberately "seek out" such a position.

Yeh, it's pretty silly, but I still like to see what people rep me for and their comments, that's fun.
Another thing that's a bit stupid about this "system" is that rep coming from people with hig rep are more "valued" than rep coming from less-repped people, that's plain "racist", Glice would say.
If I rep some new poster he gets to "*** kicks all ya'all asses" in a sec. That's why even people with "shorter life" on here are high on reps.

pbradley 10.01.2007 04:31 PM

More often than not, people rep me because of some joke rather than they agree with some post of mine. I do get agreement reps, but rarely. But I must admit that it is nice to get a compliment every once in a while but this is more just a general statement than just about rep.

floatingslowly 10.01.2007 04:33 PM

I just repped all over this thread. :o

Savage Clone 10.01.2007 04:33 PM

Gross.

Rob Instigator 10.01.2007 04:39 PM

ahhh, thanks.

Now I am complete.

I can die in peace

floatingslowly 10.01.2007 04:41 PM

let this be a lesson to you all.

when yr bored, go to the LAST PAGE and bump something chock full of innocence and wonder.

Understand the procedure now? Just stop a few of their machines, and radios, and telephones, and lawn mowers, throw them into darkness for a few hours and then, sit back and watch the pattern.

And this pattern is always the same?

With few variations. They pick the most dangerous enemy they can find. And it's themselves. All we need do is sit back and watch.

Then I take it that this place- This "Maple Street" is not unique?

By no means. The world is full of Maple Streets. And we'll go from one to the other and let them destroy themselves. One to the other...One to the other...One to the other...

pbradley 10.01.2007 04:47 PM

Ah, Twilight Zone, how interesting the world was before the internet...

atari 2600 10.01.2007 05:30 PM

It seems many people seeking to become popular and well-liked tend to attempt to appeal to the inner smart-ass in us all.

Don't get me wrong, humor is all well and good, but to chronically adopt this pattern is pure laziness and points to deep insecurities.

pbradley 10.01.2007 05:36 PM

Ha ha! My insecurities aren't that deep.

val-holla-ing 10.01.2007 05:44 PM

how much rep should one have to be considered kewl?

holler at a baller

floatingslowly 10.01.2007 06:25 PM

I'm constantly delving into my inner psyche to ask myself, am I funnier than Savage Clown?***

I don't think that I am. :(

besides, does anyone here really need to have a deep intellectual conversation with the likes of me? I think not.

I save that type of bullshit for "real life".

*** I'm soooo much funnier than my wife.

Are you sure?
(just checking)

pbradley 10.02.2007 03:21 AM

No, not at all. Maybe about a year ago but that was then. I was around bad people, bad environment, etc.

sarramkrop 10.02.2007 04:50 AM

To anyone who constantly reps me for being the fantastic poster that I am: Thank you, you have good taste in posters.

nicfit 10.02.2007 05:04 AM

yeah, you're the "real" king of rep, considering the namechange.
sonicl is an im-poster. <--- ha ha , pun!

sonicl 10.02.2007 05:08 AM

^
Can you give me one good reason why I shouldn't punish you for that?

nicfit 10.02.2007 05:10 AM

Actually, no, I can't....
but you gotta admit I'm probably right.

sarramkrop 10.02.2007 05:10 AM

I am more influential than him, rep or not. I get fan pms all the time.

It's just becuz you're a teen idol. Now that you're famous you pretend not to remember your own statements when you were just a little porkmarras:

aaaaaah ah aha ah ah aaaa!!!! ;)

sonicl 10.02.2007 05:16 AM

I have a secretary to screen my fan mail.

I love that dirty look she gives me.

_slavo_ 10.02.2007 05:29 AM

I don't think this whole thing with rep points is right. I mean, sometimes I catch myself looking at my settings if, like, anyone has repped me. And then I'm like, wtf, why should I ever be doing that? It's just numbers and digits anyway, isn't it?

I see that I've also got stalkers. How more famous can you get than that?

sonicl 10.02.2007 05:33 AM

I've said it countless trimes before, Moshe should be the person on this board with the highest reputation score. If I could give him all my points, I would happily do so.

Strange morning, this is.
BTW, I wanted to rep you with a comment like "nooooo you are checking this shit again!!!" but I can't.

You could set up a fake death and see how much more famous you'd get.
Then come back claiming that's your "second coming", then add that you didn't mean it with a sexual meaning. Oh, you need to release a summer single too.
