they found the body. whether he committed suicide or not, which is irrelevant, he's dead, he's been dead for almost 13 years, rendering the "theory" invalid.

now, raise your right hand if you are capable of articulating that.

Cantankerous 09.23.2006 12:16 AM

i said RIGHT hand.

a) kurt cobain had way to much heroin in his system to have been able to have blown his brains out. now that is all I am saying, and statistically speaking, no body blows their brains out in this country with that much heroin in their systems, and as far as finding bodies with their heads blown off with lethal morphine doses in their blood, he is up there with the top ten of the past 100 years.....

b) come on man, do you seriously believe that an entity as powerful as the govt would allow some pissant motherfucker to blow away a president with out their say so?

Yeah I actually do believe some pissant motherfucker can just kill the president just like that.

static-harmony needs to open up his mind alittle.

As for the Kurt thing, yeah it definitely looks suss, but I'm impartial. But JFK was blown away by the government, that's as obvious as dogs balls. If you don't think so, you're balls.

porkmarras 09.25.2006 02:15 AM

Reliable ducumentation of such claims is most welcome.

You are just mad cause of the gun issue thing. Just so you know I lean left on most issues, but I just think some issues that the left tries to pull are stupid.

edit*** And I think MOST conspiracy theories are stupid.

Don't make mountains out of molehills. I ain't mad at all or can even remember this 'gun issue'. I just think you need to open your mind alittle and not just accept what you're meant to accept. It's based upon your statements in this thread mainly.

Your last edit being a prime example as to why I said what I did.

static-harmony 09.25.2006 02:21 AM

I don't don't accept things like that, I think them through and see which of the issue is far better. And I found that most conspiracy theories are just dumb.

Norma J 09.25.2006 03:55 AM

I think some of them are fucking dumb, yeah, but definitely not all. Even if I do consider some dumb, I commend the people on atleast questioning things. That's what we need.

Rob Instigator 09.25.2006 10:12 AM

there have been 4 or 5 US presidents shot or shot and killed in the 240 years this nation has existed.
each and every one of them was a lone idiot/lunatic seeking to exact some sort of personal revenge.
noone ever wants to believe that the powerful and rich and famous and "superior" can die such simple, brutal deaths. anyone can accept that a clerk at wal mart was gunned down while driving home but noone can accept that a movie star, or a rapper, or a politician, was killed the same way. It is something of a human failing. great people cannot have simple stupid deaths. this is our collective thinking, when in fact, nearly each and every death, no matter what, is simple and stupid.

things that were once unthinkable become the standard by which we build our "security". it used to be unthinkable that soemone would kill a president while he was being entertained at a theatre. Joh Wilkes booth instantly put the unthinkable into concrte reality. after that no president was allowed to go out for entertainment without a full attatchment of security, secret service and pre-planning.
it was unthinkable that someone would try to snipe a president as he drove along on a motorcade greeting constituents, but lee harvey oswald did it, had a perfect vantage point, excellent marksman MARINE, and since the unthinkable was made real, no president has ever ridden in a vehicle that was not covered and bulletproof.

all it takes is one person acting crazy to change the way the rest o the world behaves.

all it took was 12-16 people to take three planes and change the direction of not only the USA, but of the entire fucking world.

when people say "One person can make a difference" it is very true, but they never say it can just as easily b a difference for the worse.

static-harmony 09.25.2006 12:00 PM

I have to agree with Rob on this one person does change the way people think.

Hang on a second but that's reality and not a 'conspiracy theory'.Such theories are generally panick attacks that produce misinformation about political and economical realities but unless one has been living on another planet it is pretty obvious that there isn't a single state in the world that actually works for the best interests of its population.

Everyneurotic 09.25.2006 03:26 PM

if you go around not questioning stuff, that's being an easily led sheep in a big herd called the world.

[quote=porkmarras]Such theories are generally panick attacks that produce misinformation about political and economical realities quote]

exactly, such theories are GENERALLY panic attacks. the problem lies in that sometimes they are NOT, so completely shutting off people with "conspiracy theories" is plain ol stupid don't ya think?

So what you're basically saying is that bathing into unreliable and hysterical information is well worth it because some of it might even turn out to be actual fact?

Rob Instigator 09.25.2006 04:00 PM

nope, I am saying that it pays to listen to all and to check em all out at least on a basic level as an individual.

Satanism can claim one too many a 'conspiracy theory' to prove that slaughtering a kid or a lamb is somehow a sign of infinite power.Would you then 'check that one out' because it might have some truth in it?Also, how many 'conspiracy theories' remain just as such because they don't retain enough strength but the simple and vacuous intent of just being a rumour? It is more than possible that assasinations of politicians and terrorist acts are acts of extremism but such practices are only the tip of an bigger iceberg that stands as more complex than folks' gossips.

Rob Instigator 09.25.2006 04:29 PM

satajism is not a conspiracy theory

the idea that satanists run our government is

there is a big difference.

Can't really see what your point is,there.Believing that a government is run by satanists has to be one of the most filmic and christian induced parables that hollywood, possibly, has spawned. My point is,one's government is vile and goes at war: are you really surprised if that happens? Why the embellishments when the reality is much more crude and available for most to see, read and even reference from history books? In this time and age,i ask?

Quote:

Major L'Enfant (1755-1825), a French artist and engineer who had formed a friendship with George Washington while serving in the Revolutionary War, requested the honor of designing a plan for the national capital. The fact that the area was largely undeveloped gave the city's founders the unique opportunity to create an entirely new capital city.
After surveying the site, L'Enfant developed a Baroque plan that features ceremonial spaces and grand radial avenues, while respecting natural contours of the land. The result was a system of intersecting diagonal avenues superimposed over a grid system. The avenues radiated from the two most significant building sites that were to be occupied by houses for Congress and the President.
L'Enfant specified in notes accompanying the plan that these avenues were to be wide, grand, lined with trees, and situated in a manner that would visually connect ideal topographical sites throughout the city, where important structures, monuments, and fountains were to be erected. On paper, L'Enfant shaded and numbered 15 large open spaces at the intersections of these avenues and indicated that they would be divided among the states. He specified that each reservation would feature statues and memorials to honor worthy citizens. The open spaces were as integral to the capital as the buildings to be erected around them. L'Enfant opposed selling land prematurely, refused to furnish his map to the city commissioners in time for the sale, and was reluctantly relieved of his duties by George Washington. Ellicott was then engaged to produce a map and reproduced L'Enfant's plan from his memory.
In the context of the United States, a plan as grand as the 200 year old city of Washington, DC, stands alone in its magnificence and scale. But as the capital of a new nation, its position and appearance had to surpass the social, economic and cultural balance of a mere city: it was intended as the model for American city planning and a symbol of governmental power to be seen by other nations. The remarkable aspect of Washington, is that by definition of built-out blocks and unobstructed open space, the plan conceived by L'Enfant is little changed today.

I am an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church. I hae already started three religions, all spectacular failures.

One was the Church of Letterman, to worship david letterman as the all powerful deity he is

another a few years later was the Almighty Church of Mario, which worshipped the great Mario of mario Bros/ fame in his quest to rid the world of the evil of Bowser. I even made up prayers for that one.
hail mario Full of grace
shoots fireballs all over the place...

then i started the church of atheism, but it was doomed from the start.

no joke.
