Hate Me-Blue October, yet another whiny song that the radio djs admire for some unspeakable reason.
So far I can't find any radio stations that play the really good suff. |
God, mainstream djs are completely out of touch with music. I remember when FallOutBoy became popular they were like "You may be wondering "who is this Fall Out Boy?" Well they just well may be the best thing in music" or something to that effect.
|
Thankfully that horrid Razorlight tune doesn't get played so much any more, but there is a new (not-so-new, actually) tune that makes me want to kill small animals. My girlfriend likes to be woken up by the radio, and at least once a week the tune that is on at quarter past six, when the radio swaitches itself on, will be Nelly's "Its Getting Hot in Here". Two questions: 1) Why is the DJ playing a three or four year old track so often, and 2) Why is anyone playing this fucking shite at all????
Excuse me now, just thinking about that song has prompted me to go and get my rifle. I'm gonna go shoot me a guinea pig. |
dj's play a lot of songs that are old sonicl, some from the 60's even.
the most annoying song for me right now is that 'dont give up, you got a reason to live' song. i cant remember who graced us with that but they deserve a punch in the arm. |
Whatever the new Nelly Furtado song is. Maneater or something. It seriously blows my mind that people pay other people to do this stuff. There is no creativity whatsoever.
|
Everytime I switch on a radio, some piece of shit gets out of it. I hate radio. French radios are worse than americans.

Honay why you callin me, uh, sooooo late? *ANNOYING WHINY GUITAR*
Its kinda hard to taw-awk right now *MORE ANNOYING WHINY GUITAR* |
Oh, you have to just love the new formula for rock:
deep scratchy voice + basic 3 chord progession + held distorted chords for chorus + part where they do the song the same but with acoustic guitar, then repeat with distortion again = instant radio classic! |
I have tried and tried and tried not to listen to that America song but it seems everywhere I go it follows and tortures me. I went into Leeds a few days ago and it was played in 5 shops so I had to exit as fast as possible. People always play it in their cars on full volume as well which annoys the fuck out of me. Last week I had got home late from friends and turned on the tv in bed and they were playing it fucking live.
One day they will push me over the edge, is it their only fucking song or something? Another band who are just as bad are The Futureheads, they have the worst lyrics in the world, it's pretty funny how people actually take them seriously. They all look like cunts and all their songs are the same Check this song out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sDXv5FcInQ I'm sure you'll all love it |
Subpar XTC, anyone?

I never understood the hype of this band. I thought there was an extra "something" to them that got caused them to get so popular. Then I went to a party one time and they played their entire first album. It was a crime. What happened to a party MIX? This stuff was off the wall horrid. There was nothing that I was missing to them. |
Quote:
wow. That was pretty bad. One thing I've been wondering, how come they never play Velvet Underground on the radio? Or the Stooges? They rock harder than that wimpy crap they call hard rock. |

I have never heard that song before. Must be a British thing. |

As accepting as I am of Pop music - particularly Dance (but i ain't promiscuous, and if you is suspicious, all that shit is fictitious, i blow kisses -- Fergie, "Fergilicious"), Rap (candy on the six-fo', leather guts and fishbowl, fifty on the pinky ring just to make my fist glow -- T.I., "What You Know"), R&B (baby i'll love you all the way down, get you right where you like it, i promise you'll like it, i swear -- Cassie, "Me & You") - for some reason there wasn't a single Pop Rock song from 2006 that I enjoyed. Why? Maybe it's because the instrumentals are so generic, the lyrics are so earnest... there's no edge to 'em. There's nothing memorably bad or good about them.

Generally they broadcast what people want to hear, and unfortunately youth culture has reduced itself to a very narrow music preference. Usually people really into music don't listen to mainstream radio because of the selection, and so it leaves the people who casually listen to it. So it's a catch 22, and it's mostly youth demanding solely gangsta rap, R&B/pop/whatever you want to call it/ classic rock/ pop punk. It's sickening. Plus most people are turned off by insturmental music now because they can't take the time to suit the music to a mood and atmoshere, so they go for whatever's the most accessable. I guess it's good in a sense for people not heavily involved in music, because it provides something that's easy for them, although it doesn't change my opinion that it's sickening. |

What the fuck? Not one to criticize music tastes, but with such terrible taste.. c'mon! |

89.1 plays a really diverse selection, it's Carleton University's station. And 107.9 isn't bad sometimes, but they only play heavy stuff and rap, but a lot of it's good stuff. I'm stuck with the radio since my parents car doesn't have a tape deck. |
i really enjoy nelly furtado's new song.. not the maneater one
|
I will give nelly furtado's new singles the benefit of the doubt anallow this: they are catchy as shit.

I haven't heard any of her stuff since I was a young lad. I don't like it how she uses everyday lines to make her music catchier, it makes it seem like a business hoax. "Turn off the lights" is heard every or practically every day, so when people hear the line they think of the song. I really can't voice myself too much on her since I only heard about 2 of her songs though |
That song that the chick from the Black Eyed Peas does. GRRRRRRR.

I'm not offended at all, I expected a comment like this. My taste isn't terrible (I'm an SY fan for crying out loud), I'm just tolerable of certain things. People need to shape up and appreciate the Ferg'. |
I've not been impressed with the Ferg album all the way through, but bits of it are ok. I finally got over the 'what the jesussing fuck is this all about?' with that Stefani single the other day, and once that hurdle's jumped it's a grand tune. More power to you, Mr Mowish.
Although I think you must've missed out on the impeccable brilliantness of the MCR album if you think rock didn't produce anything brilliant last year. Otherwise, I'd agree entirely. |

It helped me pass those kidney stones last year since it was so good. |

Boy, no one likes that Gwen single (or her album). I have yet to hear it on the radio, even after requesting it. I once caught the last 10 or so seconds of the video on VH1 though. And I tried and failed to watch her live performance of the song on some music show (her voice was louder than the instrumental; it sounded so awkward. Anyway I look forward to finally hearing the studio version. And I just might buy the album simply because it's so panned (I hope I'm one of the few audiences for it). I missed... My Chemical Romance... is that MCR? There's a (Pop)Rock station here in Miami but I never listen to it (I'll start this year). The only videos I watch - when I feel like watching them on TV - are for Rap and R&B. Apparently I'll watch nothing without voluptuous babes.... or Chris Cunningham, Spike Jonze, and Michel Gondry and the like behind the camera. |
Quote:
I don't mind Gwen at all! Yeah, MCR=My Chemical Romance. They're soooo overrated. I don't really listen to stations other than college ones, because I hate how the stations are payed to play certain artists. Capitalism shouls have nothing to do with exposure |
Dontcha wish yr mom was hot like me
Dontcha wish yr mom sucked cock like me DONTCHA!!! That one. |

Look into the song message krastian! Evidentally there's some key points in the song and there's tonnes of imagery. They're demonstrating desensitization and vulgarity in their song in a very suddle, sarcastic manner. It's about how far this culture has taken meaningless vulgar jokes like this whole "yr mom" retort you often hear. It also is a sarcatic hit at jealousy itself and how sexual appeal dominates the youth's minds. It's really about individualism and not conforming to the economically holistic trend of sexual exposure! |

See, personally, I've only ever heard whiny little indie kids/ hardcore kids whinge about how much they dislike MCR and how over-rated they are. And I heard some songs, and downloaded some things, and was surprised to find they are an actual rock group without 'the fear of the chorus' which strikes so many. I know one person, other than me, who loves MCR, and everyone else I know hates them. Which is important. Very important. |
due to the fact that all the radio stations covered in my area suck, i dont listen them.
