Senate committee unanimously endorses spy agencies’ finding that Russia interfered in 2016 presidential race in bid to help Trump
By Ellen Nakashima April 21, 2020 at 11:49 a.m. MDT The Senate Intelligence Committee has unanimously endorsed the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia conducted a sweeping and unprecedented campaign to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. The heavily-redacted report, based on a three-year investigation, builds on a committee finding nearly two years ago that the January 2017 intelligence community assessment (ICA) on Russia was sound. The spy agencies also found that Russia sought to shake faith in American democracy, denigrate then-candidate Hillary Clinton and boost her rival Donald Trump. The report, while not unexpected, is nonetheless a milestone — the first extensive bipartisan congressional affirmation of the intelligence agencies’ conclusion, which continues to be at odds with President Trump’s oft-stated doubts about Russia’s role in the 2016 race. “ The committee found no reason to dispute the intelligence community’s conclusions,” Chairman Richard Burr (R-N.C.) said in a statement. “The ICA summarizing intelligence concerning the 2016 election represented the kind of unbiased and professional work we expect and require” from the agencies, Vice-Chairman Mark R. Warner (D-Va.) said. “The ICA correctly found the Russians interfered in our 2016 election to hurt Secretary Clinton and help the candidacy of Donald Trump. Our review of the highly classified ICA and underlying intelligence found that this and other conclusions were well-supported.” The committee said the CIA, National Security Agency and FBI — coordinated by the Director of National Intelligence — presented a “coherent and well-constructed” case for their assessment, supported by intelligence from human and electronic sources. Significantly, the committee said, “interviews with those who drafted and prepared the ICA affirmed that analysts were under no political pressure to reach specific conclusions.” etc etc here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/natio...7c7_story.html |

Fuck it. Skunk is on my ignore also. He/she is even more deluded than Byteme.
(Symbols, why do you have Byteme on ignore, but not Skunk?) UNFUCKINGBELIEVEABLE that Skunk is pushing this notion that Mueller refuted the 2016 Russian intereference charge. That report was mostly about that very subject. I have the fucking book on my shelf. Fuck me. |

There should be a law against that. :) Seriously....Skunk actually thinks that Mueller refuted 2016 Russian interference!! You cannot make this shit up. |

I didn't get around to deleting you yet. See the part that I bolded? The whole fucking report details how Russia interfered. You should look at it sometime!! Fucking, where is that ignore option again...I cannot deal with these ignoramuses. |
You absolute fucking moron. Just because the Trump campaign didn't reach out to Russia doesn't mean Russia didn't try to help them.

Here's an analogy that you can (probably) understand. Say you're trying to move a pile of bricks that belong to someone else (say, from a wheelbarrow to their garage). You ask them for help, and they ignore you. Do you still move the bricks? Now replace "move the bricks" with "interfere with elections" and you've got what we've been railing against for the last three and a half years. Alternatively, replace "bricks" with "brains" and we've got what you've seemed to have. Quote:

There's not much to agree with, really, because they're not opinions, they're evident facts. But —and I say this days after that/those specific briefings happened; I don't know whether CNN has changed its M.O. because I have no cable DAMMIT I'M TIRED OF BEING POOR— the network is trying to have its Dotard and shit on him too. Fucker deserves a lot more shit than this, actually, but ultimately it's only propaganda if you broadcast it. Have integrity, take the ratings hit, put on something else like an episode of the late great Anthony Bourdain's program, and book Fauci to speak to Anderson Cooper later. |

I don't know what Skunk is posting anymore, nor do I care, but to be clear, he initially said that "the Mueller committe refuted that charge" when quoting this: Originally Posted by !@#$%! I just cannot fucking deal with people who wilfully overlook inconvenient facts, just because Dear Leader cries that it was all fake and witchuntery. |

now that bernie's dropped out, who are we considering? howie hawkins doesn't look to bad but no way he wins, the country is too big on the two party (really a one party) system to vote 3rd party
|
The divisiveness on Biden, and the solidarity of Trumpers has me thinking Trump will get a 2nd term.
I've also heard Jesse Ventura is considering a run of some sort? which won't amount to much at all. |
Even if Biden was to win 60% to Trump 40%, I would still consider USA to be lost, because 40% voted for Trump.

The replies to this post have focused on who would be nuts enough to jump into the race as a third candidate now, but I think what you meant was "Bernie's out, we got no candidate anymore, eh, let's sit this shit out and watch The Bachelor on November 3rd". I DON'T CARE IF THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE IS A GODDAMN BANANA IN PYJAMAS - THERE'S A CRAZY RETARDED EVIL MOTHERFUCKER IN THE WHITE HOUSE AND THE GUY HAS TO GO, PERIOD. Fuck! |

Each day we think "the guy can't go any lower" and each day he does or says something that's a new low. THIS, however, this is new low and will stay that way for a good while. What kind of absolute moron would say this? Only the president of the United States. Can't way to see how our resident Trump lovers spin this one. |

Thing is, you don't even need to believe in "American exceptionalism" (as in THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD! 'CAUSE WE HAVE, LIKE, UH... FREEDUMB!) to understand that the United States, kinda like government itself (oh, the irony) and despite its history of brutal imperialism, can be an engine for positive things to happen worldwide - in many areas, because of its size and might, the engine. But the fucking place tanked. Isolationism is stupid in the first place; isolationism plus willful ignorance is the fast track to decadence, and four years ago we KNEW the decadent model that was being sold by Dotard J Turd and gaining traction like the coronavirus wouldn't be able to deal with a catastrophe. The international community would be awfully innocent to expect something rational, collaborative and decisive from the U.S. until the country reboots itself somehow, which is a long goddamn shot, because even if Biden wins, half the country will still be LIBERATE VIRGINIA! and give him the same brick wall of hyperstasis his boss had to fight when he was V.P.
