i don't like the interface, don't like the .m4a format, don't like that they peddle the itunes store at all times, don't like that it's just a list of songs, and that it can't co-exist with pretty much any other media players in the same machine.

get a wall socket dealy to charge it, best thing i could have bought for it. and pain in the ass, tell me about it, i've gone through tons of stuff with it, gone through tons of software, rebooting, reformatting, etc. that volume shit is fucked though. |
I did get one of those.
Now I have one of the things that you hook your iPod up to and it plays the music through speakers. It was a Christmas gift a year or two ago. |
to anyone using an ipod with a screen, check if there's a version of rockbox available for your model. It makes ipods a lot more fun
|
I could just hear some truck making a backing up beep noise for the longest time. It just stopped but it was driving me crazy.
|
hahahahahaha, *beep -- beep -- beep -- beep*
|
At first I thought you meant through your iPod. I was gonna say, that's not good.
|
Yeah, shoot myself in the head.
It's like two in the morning, I don't see why someone would be driving around in a truck that beeps like that. Not in my neighborhood. Jeez I'm cranky at the moment. |

My iPod is possessed by a trunk that beeps when it backs up. Help. |

woot? works flawlessly with mp3s (and can rip cds in that format too), you can "deactivate" the store option, it works just fine along with vlc player and win media player and winamp on my pc, if you don' like the "list" there's not much you can do but you can go through your collection browsing even the cd covers , it's fun!, and the search option is just killah. you, you are this: ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! And I hate apple, but I love my ipod/itunes. |
My rat boys are all laying together right now.
I am beyond happy that they're getting along and coming good friends fast. |

That keyboard doesn't look very comfortable.
I don't get why they went through all the trouble to project the screen but not the keyboard. In the not too distant future, computers will consist of nothing more than a 5 cm high cylinder with two projectors (screen/keyboard) on either side, + a motion detection sensor. Also, that projector better have a LED light. Standard lights are expensive and last 2000 hrs. |
I think that's designed more as a furniture complement/lamp than an ergonomical/stylish computer... I like some ideas, but it doesn't look that comfortable indeed. Not sure about the double-projectors future for computers, that's a winner idea in terms of portability/size but humans need some sort of tactile feedback while typing and stuff..at least for a few years more, maybe..
then watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkTQwP2gFxU |
Keyboards are filthy. Lasers! |
true that, keybs are filthy... that's exacly the image I thought of when you talked about that 5cm cylinder with 2 projectors.
