Sorry chco, Australia totally choked those last few overs. Ben Stokes, what a hero.

Haha, it's alright, I guess we've gotta give you something. And I haven't been keeping up as closely as normal (when you don't have an ABC cricket book to fill the scorecards into, it detracts).

I'm more chuffed about the mighty Western Bulldogs - Australian Football League finals, here we come!

Damn drugs man...I thought I’d test a hit of acid last night. I think I’m getting too old for that shit. That shit kept me up all night...anyway. I don’t think I’ll ever be doing more than two hits anymore. Fuck who knows if I’ll ever do more than one. One a lone was pretty intense last night.

Parts of overheard conversations are the most sobering

I got out of my car and started pumping gas......from the other side of the pump:

“Too weak to speak, stopped taking ice chips, the cancer has consumed her.”

Signs everywhere reminding us to NOT use cellphones while pumping......felt bad for whoever she was referring to.

Jumps in her car and away she went. Next car pulls up and this lady starts pumping while leaving her Armada running???

I'm preparing for an English Language test at the moment, and we're talking about language change. As an example, the teacher bought up these deep-fried potato snacks - you can get them from fish and chip shops, and they're awesome.

But anyway: in my state, we call them potato cakes, which is a good thing. In New South Wales, they call them potato scallops, which is bad and gross.
And we've been told specifically not to be prescriptivist in our essay, but...it's so tempting; they're so wrong on this issue.

Today's goof: halfway through a complicated question on my specialist maths test, I realised I had the x-axis backwards :o

as they used to say earlier in the century

“you go, girl”

wholehearted best wishes! keep us posted.

Thank you !@#$%!

I hung back after a maths class to explain to my teacher what was going on (I figured her class was the one least full of dickheads). She was friendly, and suggested that I talk with a year 11 team leader - who also happens to be my English Language teacher - in the near future. So the plan is to go in fem mode to my maths class on Friday afternoon.

Now to find someone to borrow a skirt off.

!@#$%! 09.02.2019 08:43 PM

borrow?

sure drag is not trans, and there are controversies galore, but nevertheless— may rupaul be with you—

—in a fairy godmother sort of way, to get you a gown for the ball

choc e-Claire 09.02.2019 08:49 PM

I have to borrow - fucking school uniform, man. Expensive as shit.

Actually, that was part of the conversation I had. The teacher asked me if I wanted to prewarn the rest of the class, and I said that I'd rather them just be mildly confused and think I was a crossdresser, since they'd get over it eventually.

!@#$%! 09.02.2019 09:07 PM

aaaaah! it’s a uniform...

i understand now

you probably gotta learn to sew :D

(eventually i mean)

anyway... deep breaths! the more relaxed you are the better everything goes. bill murray said so, therefore it must be true lol. but really though.

Update: had a conversation with the Year 11 team leader at recess, then another conversation with maths teacher at lunch. The basic thinking was that I need to have a more detailed plan of action to be able to work on it, and talking about whether or not to pre-warn the class.

So I spent a while on making a flowchart of all sorts of possibilities for what I could do with myself, and how that'll work in the end, and whether or not I'd spoken to student welfare, and whether I had any other friends...and I'm more than a little anxious and uncertain about what I'm doing, and if it's going too far too quickly. :(

!@#$%! 09.04.2019 06:44 AM

im not an expert in gender maneuvers, but slapping on a random skirt just becuz— might simply end up looking like a kilt.

what about smaller but more consistent steps instead? e.g., new haircut, small bit of daily eye makeup, lip gloss, that sort of thing?

eta: also: eyebrows.
