Actually, The Orphanage wasn't directed by Del Toro, he only produced it I think but that doesn't matter, today I've watched:

7/10. Good documentary about punk and all but they didn't talk about Wire (the best punk band imo), Wipers or Hüsker Dü. WTF ? There was even some live footage of Limp Bizkit but no Wire ??? Can someone recommend me another music documentary ? I heard "1991: The Year Punk Broke" and "Hype!" were good, any others ?

I also watched:

6/10. I like Cronenberg and all but that one, I don't know... Maybe I watched it in terrible conditions. At least, the gore scenes were pretty cool and Debbie Harry was hot, that's all.

Videodrome 11/10

TheFoxBen 11.01.2009 01:20 PM

Is this the Sonic Youth Gossip or the Videodrome Gossip ?

Derek 11.01.2009 01:24 PM

I would post here more if it was the Videodrome Gossip haha.

But it's one of my favourite movies so I hold it on a pedestal slightly.

!@#$%! 11.01.2009 01:28 PM

videodrome fucking rules!!!

long live the new flesh!

Conrad 11.01.2009 01:31 PM

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Didn't get through the whole thing obviously, because it still sucks just as much as the last time I tried to watch it.

Videodrome, Crash, Dead Ringers and The Dead Zone are some of the best movies ever made by anyone.

I've just seen The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. It was a poor movie.

I think Crash is definitely one of the most overrated films ever. I haven't seen the other three films so I can't comment on them.

stu666 11.01.2009 06:50 PM

nice, one of my faves

Trasher02 11.01.2009 07:34 PM

Good flick. However, the lack of common sense in this movie did annoy me from time to time.

How is it overrated? I've never heard anyone talking about it, in any capacity, ever, except on this board. Unless you mean the racism shitfest 0/10 movie Crash, not the Cronenberg-based-on-Ballard's-book Crash.

^I always felt like this had a Cronenberg feel to it.

Lars Von Trier's "Medea."
Screenplay by the great Carl Dreyer.
Excellent!

then it succeeds.

I'm a huge fan of "so-bad-it's-good" films. Trust me. But I think Rocky Horror is an over-rated piece of crap (with a fairly good soundtrack).

DeadDiscoDildo 11.02.2009 12:38 PM

The Order.

It was ok. Some parts were pretty damn cool, some parts were kind of bleh...

Shannon Sossmen though....meowwwwwww as always

Well in France at least then.

Rob Instigator 11.02.2009 05:12 PM

I'd rather watch CLUE than Rocky Horror anyday

DeadDiscoDildo 11.02.2009 06:28 PM

CLUE is awesome.

Rocky Horror. Never saw the full thing. Overhyped in my opinion, not my thing.

DeadDiscoDildo 11.02.2009 06:29 PM

BTW, just watched Legend of 1900. I forget who was talking about that movie, I think they were talking about the soundtrack. Eitherway, I liked it! Good find!!

We re-watched Dog Soldiers for Halloween, as we usually do. Pure class.
