Sorry. This is terrible and I’m against all violence and loss of life, but this guy was loving, breathing, walking shit. Should have been boycotted/canceled.

It’s objectively sad, but it’s hard for me to get sad about it. Guy raped a girl with a fire iron. That’s just one of his many unspeakable acts that bro-fans continue to defend while blaming the victim.

The whole outrage over Kanye is ridiculous considering people are going to be burning candles for this fuckwit.

But RIP. Wish he hadn’t died and had just gone to jail for life.

I agree. I see people talking about "karma", but if karma was real he would have gone to jail and paid for the crimes he's committed. Death is tragic but for someone like him it was the easy way out.

"Jocelyn Flores" is a good rap song though, I'll give him that.

Sucks because Hov was on the right path with 4:44, and now he's regressing. I wouldn't even be mad if that was his final album, I don't think he's going to top it.

He’s not going to too 4:44. Honestly, he was lucky to get away with releasing a throwback album of soul beats and reflective lyrics in this age of hip-hop. And even though it was great, nobody who wasn’t already a Jay fan liked it.

He needs to retire.

I think Kanye might be nearing that point as well, but I’d like to see one last big epic win for the record books, perhaps with the public apology everyone wants, so he can go down in history. His “Abbey Road,” if you will.
Only in Kanye’s case I hope he produced until the day he dies.

Kanye will definitely keep producing, he seems to be passionate and inspired nowadays..

I wonder if he’ll climb out of this hole he’s in with half the country though.
I really like Ye, but already TLOP and Yeezus give me better vibes because of the memories ... positive reviews everywhere, hype like crazy.

HOWEVER...
Kanye has two top 5 albums on the Billboard 200 chart right now. Pretty impressive.

Yeezus was pretty polarizing though.. Pablo had mild critical acclaim (Pitchfork aside).

Yeezus was polarizing for fans. It was the most critically acclaimed abum of 2013 though.

TLOP got a few meh reviews, but mostly good ones. Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Village Voice, Guardian, etc. RS called it a “masterpiece” (shrug)

So Kanye outsold Bey & Jay with each one of his 7 track albums..

Hahah.

He can’t get out from under the shit though, man. It’s depressing.

Teyana’s album is another great one.

Some throwback Brandy, Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill vibes..

It’s not my style of music at all, but I have enjoyed it so far. The production and atmospherics are enough to keep even this Brandy-hating (“Bring Me Down” = worst non-skit Kanye song), Alicia Keys ambivalent asshole like me interested.

Lauryn is dope though.

I’m happy with it. Dude has plenty to clarify if he cares about his fans, but he isn’t really required to explain jack shit. I really resent anyone who thinks I need to boycott Kanye or admit to “supporting Trump by proxy.” That’s a line of shit one of my friends fed me the other day. He’s never listened to Kanye but suddenly thinks no one ever should.

God liberals can be just as infuriatingly polarizing as conservatives, I swear to fuck.

That would be like asking a plumber who he voted for before letting him fix your flooded basement.

Or you're the best doctor in the state but I need to know you voted for my vote before I let you operate.

Haha.

The album is bad, like really really bad. Especially side B. Liked a few songs though.

I tried to listen to see where that dope ass Moderat sample would be, but I didn’t make it far.

Gotta say, “Nice for What” is good. If only for the chipmunk would sampling of “The Ex-Factor,” which is a great song, and makes for a great fucking beat.

That album cover is horrendous. WHEN is tha motherfucker going to learn that he can pitchfork things other than his stupid ass SELF on the cover of an album?!

Yeah, that was one of the few songs I liked.

Lauryn's cover of the song took it to another level though.

Almost every song on the A side addresses the Pusha beef, in one way or another.

"I wasn't hiding my kid from the world, I was hiding the world from my kid"

"The only deadbeats is whatever beats I been rappin' to"

"Ayy, sick of these niggas (sick)
Sick of these niggas (sick, sick)
Hire some help (help), get rid of these niggas (skrr)"

"Yeah, and they shook
Please don't let them fool ya, I don't care how they look (nah)
Heard all of the talkin', now it's quiet, now it's shush (shh)"

"Niggas scared to come towards us, gotta run from us
Louisville hush money for my young gunners
Rick Pitino, I take 'em to strip clubs and casinos
Stack of c-notes get all you niggas scratched like Preemo"

"Yeah I’m light skinned, but I’m still a dark nigga"

"Too rich for who? Y'all just got rich again"

"Backstabbed so many times I started walkin' backwards"

And so on.

Drake basically took the fake gangsta rapper act a step further as a response.

Michael Rapaport summed up my feelings perfectly:

He’s taking to Kanye in “8 out of 10.”

Fucking bitch.
